OK, did a search and no-one seems to have mentioned this. Confused
The other day as I was doing my usual reseacrh on cleansers etc, I stubbled across the reviews for olive oil on makeupalley.com used as a cleanser. I suddenly thought that this would make sense, as some companies are using oils as cleansers or pre-cleansers of makeup (Dermalogica...). I decided that I would try avocado oil since I had some virgin/cold pressed in my cupboard and it's just as good I thought, as olive oil. Shock
Anyway, I have been applying it to a cotton tissue at the end of the day, i.e after makeup, and wiping it over my face. It seems to pick up both foundation, bronzer and some mascara, and then I tissue it off with plain cold water on the same cotton pads - which takes off the green oily part.
I have to say that after just over a week, my skin looks great! Not that it is necessarily any better, or worse than before as I've added and changed alot in my routine lately...but no blackheads forming, little pore resolution, and NO pimples!!! Shock
Am wondering why I am spending money on expensive cleansers when these will also work just as effectively?? Cool

Anyone else had any experience doing this, or am I truly "out there??" Razz

Hi Melissa. That's the Oil Cleansing Method you just mentioned. I do 50/50 caster oil & jojoba oil. I love it too! But I also love Laventine's Cleansing Oil. Smile

Oil cleansing has always been big in Asia, so there was a time when I used seasame oil to cleanse and tissue off makeup followed by a foaming cleanser. I do think there is something to oil cleansing- I remeber my skin being very soft and hydrated after cleansing. Now I can't have oil near me because I have hormonal acne- which sucks! And everything with abit of slip that goes on my face seems to aggravate the breakouts! Laughing
