I notice that since I am working out regularly that I break out more on my chest and neck. I was thinking should try washing with a glycolic soap. Any other suggestions?

Here are some I found...

DDF Glycolic Exfoliating Wash 7% 8.5 oz. $30

Make Up Artists Choice $22.50
8% Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid Exfoliating Body Wash

Ingredients:
Deionized Water, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate,
Glycolic Acid Ultrapure tm , Lactic Acid USP, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerine, Cocamide, Ammonium Hydroxide, Macadamia Glycerides, Vitamins, A, C, E., Colors Blue & Green, Fragrance (Tangerine Citrus), Methylisothiazolinone and/or Methylchloroisothiazolinone

THANKS!!
Renee

I haven't tried these but MDF makes a really nice fine-grained AHA scrub, which I think would be even more effective because you get chemical and physical exfoliation. Works really nicely to smooth out the skin. Probably not something you'd use everyday, but maybe a few times a week. I'm talking about their "Face and Body Scrub", which, incidentally, I would not really advise using on the face because IMO it'd be too harsh.

Having said all that, a 10% AHA shower gel with a nice loofah would probably give the same results...

Neutrogena do an acne body wash and scrub that I find works well. Also using a body lotion with AHA on a regular basis could help.

I have a problem with this, too! My derm gave me antibiotic-E-micin pads, but I'm sure it's terrible to use these all the time. And they don't even work that well. I'll try these suggestions.
Thanks for bringing this up. Work out/break out, go figure.

i've just started using Osea Cleansing Mud on my chest after working out so i can't really tell if this works or not, but it really *feels* good!

normally, i just use a glycolic wash (french brand) that i had gotten for my face -- but was too harsh for it. to be honest, i think any of these would work and that you don't need to go for the top of the line. (in fact, i used Noxema there for years and that's not even glycolic. it just seemed to work a whole lot better than regular soap.) just get a cheap mild acne wash. a little exfoliation is good also, but every time you wash would be excessive.

i notice that after i work out and dont shower/clean up within 20-30 minutes that equals a guarantee breakout.. so i always wash my face at the gym now after cardio and take a shower if i dont have time to immediatly drive home

this happens every single time guaranteed! (well for me at least)
just bring your regualar stuff to the gym and shower there for preventative measure

I tried the Makeupartistschoice one and it helped clear up my minor back acne. Right when I ran out, it came back. Too bad I can't afford to keep using it.

I have the MUAC one. I like this and I like the light tangerine smell. It is not overly drying or harsh at all.

Murad makes a Clarifying Body Spray that is easy to spray on at any angle and has a fine mist. It has an anti-bacterial agent in it. It works well and feels refreshing because it's a spray.

Dr. Bronner's Liquid Castille Soap with tea tree oil might be worth trying.
