OK, showing my age here (as well as my nationality!) My all-time fave by FAAAR, and discontinued years and years ago, is/was Goya's Aqua Manda. I have a recipe for it (ingredients, not proportions, unfortunately). It is/was heaven in a bottle. If I ever come close to creating that scent again, I will definitely go into production!
Other perfumes leave me rather cold, as well as with a migraine. One that I wore for a time was Angel, but it's everywhere now and so recognizable that it can't be personalized. Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers in "G" is also lovely on my DD. Devon violets and chocolate are notes that I favour so if anyone knows of any perfume containing those, I'd love to hear about it.
G*d, that Aqua Manda was amazing... |

Antonia, what are the notes in Aqua Manda? Have you tried ThePerfumedCourt? Sometimes they have vintage scents there!
I hate it when something I love is 86ed. Which is why I hoard. |

That's weird! I answered this yesterday. The post seems to have gone missing. Anyway, to answer your question, Aqua Manda's primary notes were jasmine, citrus, vetiver, bergamot and a hint of ginger. I came across a new perfume shortly after my rave about Aqua Manda. It's called Amka, and it apparently smells just like AM. It's made by Jo Wood Organics in the UK. Jo Wood is the ex of Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood. She also has a night version of the perfume called Usiku. I emailed a US distributor and am just waiting to hear from them about the shipping charge. The packaging alone is to die for. |

I think the sign of a good perfume is when the people in my airspace tell me I smell good. I always get compliments on Guerlain instant and also with Delice de Cartier. Two scents I will definitely repurchase. |

O-O-H! Bulgari has a new perfume--it's called Green Jade and is divine. Sorry, I can't tell you what it smells of, but it's kind of green and woodsy. I love it. Got a whiff in San Francisco airport at Sephora, I think. |
