Anyone got any recommendations for those eye patches you stick on under your eyes to rehydrate them? I'm doing a 9 hour flight this month and thought these might be a good thing to take on the flight with me as I can pop them on under my sleep mask!(also means its not another liquid I have to squeeze into my little pastic bagLOL!
Has to be something I can get in a department store - I don't have time to get any mail order so I've been looking at Talika, Clinique, Estee Lauder and Guerlain (as I know these all do them). I'm not expecting a miracle product just something to make my eyes feel pampered and soothed (and perhaps make me look less like I've done a 9hr flight (also got a sample of Midnight Secret which I'm taking - any other tips other than the usual - SPF, drink lots of water, take a facial moisturising spritz etc?)
Thanks! |

I have used the eye patches only a couple of times - during a facial. I didn't feel they made any difference to my eyes. It was the estee lauder ones. I have not used any other.
if you already have the midnight secret, I think that would suffice. When I take a longhaul flight, I do the following routine - when I am ready to sleep, I take off my make-up (if wearing any), wash my face with soap and water, apply generous amounts of moisturiser. I use the same for the eyes as well as for my arms and neck. If i have any samples for dry skin, I tend to pack those. Otherwise, any that I have stocks of. After I wash my face, I do not dry my skin, instead let it dry by itself while I brush my teeth. The cabin air is so drying, I just need to lightly pat my skin (to dry my skin) after I am done brushing my teeth.Sometimes, not even that.
Apart from that, I drink lots of water and drink not too much of alcohol or hot drinks. I do drink wine and sometimes cognac(!) but make sure I drink water after those otherwise I sometimes get a headache from dehydration. I also, at times, carry track suit bottoms/t-shirt and change from my jeans into those for the flight. That makes me feel very relaxed.
wherever you are headed, I hope you enjoy your trip! Au revoir |
