I just received this new product yesterday, and was anxious to try it. I am very, very happy with the result. I put on my regular moisturiser, and put the JB on top, which they say is acceptable. Firstly, it has a lovely "tan" tint, which I think would be appropriate for all medium to olive skin tones. It does create a very subtle "even-ing' out of your skintone ...always a plus! The texture is lovely, and it has great "slip", which means it goes on easily. It is not all greasy, and it is not as thick or heavy as other sunscreens I have used. to sum it up, it really just feels like a regular moisturizer. At the end of a very LONG day, my skin appears and feels as it normally would. I know scent is important to some of you, so for those of you familiar with aromatherapy and essential oils,it smells very much like pettigrain. I find it pleasant.

I'm always looking for a great tinted moisturizer (& one with SPF is even better)...
But most of them are too "moisturizing" for my very oily skin and I end up with lots of blackheads on my nose & chin. Rolling Eyes

What is your skin like normally? You say this isn't too greasy - but I'd love to know if that's on oily skin or dry... Smile

Thanks for the review!

Hey Catamcall...my skin is combination. Even though I am 50+,I still get a little oily through the T zone, especially half way through thhe day. I haven't encountered any of the dryness that most of us mature women have to deal with...yet. I really don't like the feel of sunscreens on my face (unless I am really suntanning), because I always feel like they will block my pores. With this one I really didn't feel like I had on SPF 20 protection. It is a little more expensive than a lot of other options, but I do think it is worth it.

Hi -

What's the "active" ingrediant that's giving it the SPF?

I looked at the listing on EDS and they only list the "inactives."

Thanks -

How about its texture? Idea
Is it suitable for oily to combination skin? Question

I alwalys have closed-white head acne from oily cream and lotion.

luvyourskin - have you used the original JB SPF 30? I use that now and I wondered how much darker the medium is. I love the original JB but it is just a tad light. Maybe I could mix the 2?

That's the question I'd ask cause mixing would give a good light-medium shade cause the medium does look a bit dark to me.

Well, I think I am going to order the medium and mix them. I guess I will see what happens. I don't think it would cause any harm (hope I am not wrong!)

Hi Rileygirl! Sorry I didn't respond right away, but I was off on vacation...using my JB tinted SPF 20!!! I have not used the regular so I do not know the shade, but the suggestion of mixing to get the right shade is a great idea. By the way, performance of the sunscreen was great! It held up really well in the heat and humidity, and best of all, my skin didn't feel greasy..it really allowed my face to sweat and breathe rather than feel like it was smothering under a coat of oil!!!

I got my JB medium tint and love it. This one is just a little too dark, but mixing the SPF 30 with this medium tint is just right!

Do you use makeup remover to cleanse away the tinted moisturizer?

melodymok - I just use my regular cleanser and then a microfiber cloth. With the regular JB SPF 30 all I needed was cleanser, but with the darker medium tint, I need both to completley remove it.
