I have oily but very sensitive skin. I want to start to use vit c on my regime. I read a lot about in this board between these product. I can't decide which one is better? Please help me about it.
Thanks everyone |

I used Emergin C from Essential Day Spa and loved it I would have sensitive cheeks and the one thing I liked was that my pores did not look brown as happened with other Vitamin C serums |

haven't tried the new formula psf but the old one was not as stable as the cellularskin one. the Cellskin one is but glycol based which gives it a degree of 'slip' and it feels oily but in fact isn't. It is hands down the most stable one I have ever used. six months after opening and no discolouration. The psf is more watery feeling but after 7-8 weeks it had most definitely become unusable.
If you use the stuff fast, ie use on neck decollete, hands, the psf is a cleaner formulation, but if you just use on face or occasionally then the cellskin one would be better. on here the preference for one or the other doesn't seem to go on skin type.

I've used the Cellularskin-rx C serum for quite some time and like it a lot. It's extremely stable and is one of the few actives that I can say unequivocally works for me to reduce hyperpigmentation and skin tone unevenness. I did try the earlier PSF C serum and I found it a bit sticky in consistency. But the new formula eliminates the glycerin that probably was the cause of the poor texture. PSF makes very good products I think, though their packaging is sometimes a little sketchy. I had a pump bottle of Stimucol go bad (dark mustardy brown. I understand they've improved the packaging on that one.
Why not get a sample of each and see how you like the consistency? |

I'd go with the Cellular skin rx. I was surprised that I could use the Vivier as it does have a fragrance so try a sample of the 10% strength. |

i am not a psf fan but have never tried their c serum so i can't comment on their c serum but i
have been using the cellularskin rx c serum for a couple weeks now. I really like it and agree with guapagirl about the slip and finish and it has not gone yellow at all yet but i do keep it refrigerated. |

I've been using Cellular Skin RX 12% firming serum for a couple of months now. The texture is very light; it seems a bit oily but sinks right in and doesn't contribute to clogging pores. My 1 oz. bottle is still nearly 1/2 full and shows no sign of destabilizing. The thin texture really allows a little to go a long way. I haven't seen any noticable results from this, but use it as a preventative measure.
I have a sample of PSF 15% Vit. C serum[the new formula] and really like the texture as well, it's very light and just a few drops are needed go a long way; since this is a sample only, I don't know how stable a full 1oz. bottle will be for the long haul, but you can probably lookup the review to find this out. The sample came in a tiny little .25 oz. glass bottle with a pipette and only cost $10.00. I'll probably try this after the Cellular Skin RX is done.
If you need to weigh which one will work best for you, why not try a sample of each? |

I posted in a different post that I had a bad reaction to the Cellular Skin (12%) - red allergic face but haven't tried the PSF. I seem to the exception with CellularSkin though. |

I have never used PSF's Vit. C Serum therefore can't comment. To date any of the PSF products I have used are excellent.
Over a years ago I purchased Cellular Skin RX 12%. I don't think you can go wrong. If your skin is sensitive 12% is a nice starting point for you. Cellular Skin products are well respected as are PSF's.
If you want to narrow down the best for you get a sample size from each company. |

I'm using PSF's 15% vit C and I only use 3 gravitational droplets (not the whole dropper full) and it can cover my entire face pretty well. It is a little sticky after you apply it, but 5 minutes later my skin it really smooth. I know you're normally supposed to wait a few months for the glow to show, but for the past week that I've been using it, I haven't really noticed too much of a difference.
On the other hand, because I started Obagi, I stopped all the other products that I've been using for the last 7 years and during the weekend decided to start using only the toner and night cream again. Just ONE night of using H2O's brightening line toner and night cream and I saw my skin brighten considerably. I looked in the mirror and actually forgot my face could look bright and lively and NOT RED!
I noticed too that the H2O products had vit c. in the magnesium ascorbyl phosphate form (pre-EDS days I never paid attention to what I was using so I was surprised I was always a low dose vit c user.. LOL) PSF uses L'ascorbic acid...so now I'm not sure if maybe the ascorbyl phosphate might work better for me.
I know Kate Somerville's total vitamin has ascorbyl phosphate, so does EmerginC's multi-vitamin serum, DDF, Janson Beckett and a few others. This is where I learned about all the forms of vit c: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=18491&starred_only=true
I'm not severely hyperpigmented but I do get a lot of beauty marks that I'd like to keep at bay, and I tend to think that if one form can help make my face brighter, then the same form will help my skin in other ways vit c should! |

I was ordering from PSF anyway and thought I'd order a sample of the new C serum so I could compare it to the CellularSkin-rx serum. It has a more "watery" as opposed to "oily" feel, compared to the CSR serum, and a very, very slight honey tone to the serum, whereas the CSR is completely colorless.
On the skin, the PSF sinks in quickly and leaves a slight tackiness, though much less than its earlier formula. The CSR takes a bit longer to sink in, but doesn't leave any stickiness. The PSF has a faint caramel scent, the CSR has no discernable scent.
I used the sample sized vial from PSF for just under a month before it ran out. However, by the end, it was clearly beginning to turn browner. I've never had the CSR serum turn on me at all.
So...the lesser stability of the PSF serum tips the balance in favor of the CSR. Both are fine products from excellent lines, but the greater stability of the CSR means that I'll be sticking with it. |

I recommend Cellular Skin Rx C + Firming Serum
which contains 12% Stabilized Vitamin C. Because of your very sensitive skin. But if you want to give PSF Vitamin C Serum (15% L-ascorbic acid) a try, why not try a sample of it? |

I'm agree with Jira. You should start with Cellular skin rx C and then try other product more percentage of Vitamin C such as PSF or Vivier. |

Thanks so much for your helps. I think I will try CSR first. I hope CSR will give me the good result. After that,I will try on PSF but I quite worried about their stabilize. |
