do you think they are effective for skin maintainance and just in general for keeping you look good? do they really have an effect or would it just be temporary by stimulating circulation? |

In my opinion, you would have to continue acupuncture / acupressure treatments for maintenance. It's not a one time deal. Acupuncture is more than just stimulating circulation from my experience - I totally believe in the energetics behind it.
If I were to go to someone for facial / cosmetic acupuncture, I would ask them to teach me a acupressure (using your fingers) routine that you could do daily to maintain the acupuncture treatment. Now, they might not want to empower you as you might not come back but a good doctor of Oriental Medicine would teach you a routine.
With needles, acupuncture can go deeper into the meridian system than acupressure but acupressure has the added benefit of using energy that comes through your fingers (and the more you use it, the more likely you are going to be accustomed to feeling energy and can use that as a feedback system for yourself).
There are some threads already on EDS Forums on acupressure facial techniques you can learn through books, videos, etc. Just do a search. Hope that helps. |
