I believe I have sensitive skin - my skin has a strong reaction to retin-A. Are Skinceuticals Vit C products suitable for me? |

My skin is not "very sensitive" because Retin-A seems fine for me.
However, as i have been using Skinceutical Vit C 10 serum over a month, i still found it "tingle" every morning when i applied it .
Although the instruction said it's "normal" if u found a bit irritated at the beginning (2 weeks), i still felt tingle and itch now. But it will go away few minutes later.
So now i'm also thinking that should i continue or not .
If u got sensitive skin , i think Dermalogica will be much better
P.S.
To Caspers Mum, pls. tell me is serum 10 not suitable for me ? |

Wow. You're using both a prescription-strength retinol (which is very efoliating) - this can really compromise the skin's moisture barrier, dry it out, as well as make it more topical & photo-sensitive. This is probably why your skin is irritated by the Serum 10. Know that you should only be using this once a day. If you're finding this product too strong, but still want to benefit from the vit. C's antioxidant/repairative benefits, you may want to consider Cellex-C's Serum for Sensitive Skin; this has 7.5% vit. C, versus the 10% of Skinceuticals' serum 10. |
