Hi,
I've a dilemma here. I ordered a parisan ballet pumps about 3 months ago. It took 6 weeks to arrive. Then i wear about 1 month and realise there's a small opening at the front part of the shoes. And sent it back to them.
They said they'll exhange for me. But when i was wearing the flats, i realise the bottom is slightly thin n i tend to feel the stones when i walk. So i requested for half a size bigger. They said it'll take 4 weeks to arrive. I agreed.
As this is the 4th week, i emailed and checked when will the flats arrive and was told that they feel that the shoe is spoilt due to over- wearing instead of manufacture damage. And told me they've sent back the damaged shoes to me 2 weeks ago. (without even informing me, yet i was happily waiting for the new one to arrive) I emailed them and said it is very irresponsible and asked how can the shoe be over worn in just bout a month (i dun wear it everyday, etc). they simply said it's due to overwearing and there's nothing we can help u with. we wish u all the best. then ignore my email after that.
So i called. We were talking about it. and we couldn't And she even hang up my phone saying, i'm sorry we can't help u further and i've a phone coming in and refuse to pick up after that. I was so outraged.
Now, i have no refund, no old shoe, no new shoe.
I really want to make a consumer report. But would like to know advise from any australians who did that before. I'm an international student studying in Melbourne by the way. |

I think there should be an equivalent of a Citizen/Consumer advice bureau which is the first step to seek help, they will be listed in the local white/yellow pages. If the seller does not return your messages, then sometimes a hint that you will go to a consumer's rights a uthority tends to perk them up. |

Im in Australia too. Was it an Australian store where you got them?
Im not sure what to do in that situation but you could contact Consumer Affairs to enquire about it. |

There's a store in sydney. but i bought it from online because i'm in melbourne. I just contacted consumer affair and was told that i can try to lodge a report and they'll try to resolve it on my behalf. But that's all they can do. Well, myabe i should just consider myself bad luck.. -.- |

Consumer reports often take months to settle. You might be better off taking the shoes to a cobbler and having the hole fixed, that is if you even end up getting them back. But I agree with you, regardless of the situation this companies customer service is beyond bad. |

You could always threaten to report them to Today Tonight or A Current Affairs so that they get bad publicity nationwide! Maybe call Consumer Affairs or the Ombudsman in Sydney to lodge a complant as well. I would still get the people you spoke to in Melbourne to lodge a complaint on your behalf AND let the company know you have done this - especially as you don't even have the shoes you originally paid for. |
