I've been browsing the web trying to get info on LED photorejuvenation lights and keep seeing that they're now touted as beneficial for pain relief...
So I'm wondering if the opposite would also be true? The pain relief LED lights are considerably less expensive than the photofacial lights...
Input anyone?

Hi Lorraine - The LED lights can be multipurpose, for photorejuvenation or pain.
You cannout purchase strong photorejuvenation lights which are used at spas. The best you can get is LED. HTH - DiPhx |

I wonder if people have used the DPL and/or Baby Q for pain relief? |

DiPhx,
So will the at home varieties not yield any results? I'm primarily interested in firming, wrinkle reduction and lightening broken capillaries. I have a large area of petechiae that any result at all would be great on. Acne is not an issue for me.

If you read some of the other threads, you will see that posters have used the Quasar BQ & SP, the DPL, and LightStim for pain relief with positive results. |

I am a licensed cosmetologist so I do have access to professional grade products
There are some interesting products on the Dermatek website (including a portable ultrasonic device) but there's little to no info on the products themselves....

There's a little bit here and there, but I don't believe I've seen a thread devoted to pain relief. Perhaps this isn't the place for it? |

I'm not interested in a unit to use for pain relief. I just wondered if the pain relief units, which seem to be more reasonably priced would work for photorejuvenation.

I have a lightstim and use it all the time to treat aches and pains (usually my ankles, which I often strain due to martial arts) - works like a charm!
My guess is pain relief LED lights (as long as they're the correct wavelength - you'll have to check w/the manufacturer) might also work, but from what I've seen of the pain relief lights is they don't seem to be as strong as a photorejuvenation device, but I could be wrong on this. |

Sorry, don't have any partiular names however, LED machines for pain relief are readily available from most major stores and pharmacies. I purchsed one recently for AUD$15.00 and it is very effective. Therefore, I think Lorraine's original question is very interesting - what is the actual difference between these devices. Why are the ones for anti-aging so expensive when the ones sold for pain relief are so cheap? |
