I have been using eye shadow for years but never really went crazy in spending big bucks in them.
Mine are all commmon products like Estee lauder, MAC, lancome ones. Once I actually got some eye shadows from Club Monaco and the colors were really nice. Unfortunately they discontinued.
Can anyone share ur best products?
Thanks |

I think it really depends on what look you are going for.
MAC is good for dramtic eyes, I also love some of the Satin Formulas for daytime looks.
I also like Prestige (natural but pigmented), Revlon and Bourjois eyeshadows (very shimmery but sheer). Urban Decay are good as long as you get the glitter free ones. |

Thanks, I don't or never did a dramtic make up, esp eyes. Maybe I could try! |

Chloelee,
I LOVE LOVE LOVE IQ eyeglows. I got hooked on them from a friend here at EDS. The website doesn't show all the colors but it gives a nice start.

I personally have really good luck with Tarte and Too Faced. Most of the Too Faced colors I have are pretty funky and out there, and I have a Tarte palette that was a Sephora Insider gifty-thing that has some nice funky shades as well as some nice neutral ones. I also really love the Stila shades I've recently come across. Obviously, your preference will depend on what look you're going for, but those are three brands whose formulations I really like. Hope this helps! |

I absolutely love! Dr. Hauschka eyeshadows. They glide on smooth as silk [because it contains silk powder], smells like roses and blends in very easily. You can feather, smudge or even use a fine tip brush for an eyeliner affect. The shades are subtle; if you're more of a dramatic girl, they may not be for you but if you like the "natural beauty is she wearing makeup or not?" kind of look, Dr. H is fantastic!
I also saw an eyeshadow palatte by serious skincare on HSN the other night. I wanted to buy it very badly but I stopped myself . I can't make any personal recs here but the colors are vera vera nice....

I'm a big fan of Smashbox, they also have nice kits for a great price too.
I also love to use BE Glimmers for liners. |

What are the eye shadows like, BluesHeart? Also, not to hijack this thread but have you tried the one-colour-fits-all Sheer Activity or the Luminous? TIA! |

Hi Havana!
The eyeglows are creamy and there really is a luminous feel and look to them. Not greasy creamy but just a very easy to work with lovely texture. I was worried at first that they wouldn't stay on my eyelid but they have great staying power. However, I wouldn't use an oil on your lids and then apply.
I do have her other products but I'll pm you.

I love NARS eyeshadows. They are expensive, but highly pigmented so you just need a tiny bit. I have mostly MAC shadows, but find I need to apply quite a bit of the product for it so stay on my eyelids. I recently discovered NARS and they are very nice to use, and look great. |

I have quite a collection of Jane Iredale shadows. I am quite happy with JI's colors and staying power. |

I'm a Jane Iredale fan, too. They apply very smoothly and last all day. Dior also makes wonderful shadows, as does Cargo. |

Cheap, funky as well as classic colors, and staying power. Actually lately I've really been into their whole makeup line as well as makeup brushes. |

Mac's new Matte2 (Matte squared) eyeshadow is excellent. The formula is wonderfully creamy and blends like a dream and wears really well. Although they are matte they certainly do not look flat. I'm using Tete-a-Tint which is a very flattering peachy colour and Blanc Type as a highlighter. There are about 10 colours in all. |

I love Bobbi Brown eyeshadows, lots of neutral colors. I have her cream shadows as well but I find that they crease on me. |

Hands down...Chanel! I love Chanel eye shadows, they are the absolute best. Especially if you like a little shimmer or glitter for special occasions. I always get compliments on my eyeshadow and it's always Chanel. |

If you want to venture into Asian cosmetics I'd recommend Lunasol Geminate eyeshadows and Kate (by Kanebo) eye gradients.
Lunasol is a bit more expensive, at $50 for a palette of 5 complimentary colours you can use for the brow bone, upper and lower lids.
Kate is aimed for the younger generation and they make gorgeous gradient palettes.
The textures of both ranges are of extremely high quality, creamy non creasing finish and very fashionable colours.
You can find Lunasol & Kate shadows on ebay easily. |
