Rant: Strawberrynet after service! They still haven't refunded my shipping!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I purchased a product from Strawberrynet and it cost me $398- problem was that the product was due to expire in 2 months which really put me off. So I emailed them and didn't hear from them so I called international and talked to Ben Lu and he said if they don't have any new stock with longer expiry date then Strawberrynet will refund the product and cost of return shipping fully. Turns out there wasn't a new product so I had to return the product. It took nearly a month for them to refund the product but they didn't refund my shipping of $26.55.

I emailed and didn't hear from them so I had to call international again and this time Kitty Wong answered and said that a refund of the shipping will take place very soon. I asked why Strawberrynet didn't refund the entire amount all at once I was told some vague answer about Accounts dept. needing to do each transaction individually. Just sounds like double handling!Well it's been nearly two weeks and I haven't heard from them nor seen a credit back on my online statement.

I've emailed them again and now waiting on what they will do. I am very pissed off with Strawberrynet's after service. This is the second time they've proved to unreliable. First was when they sent me a wrong colour for a lip liner and didn't respond to my emails and in the end I just gave up because the stuff was only around $10 and not worth my time. But this time they've really pissed me off! I paid $26.55 - $10 for postage and the rest to register/insure as Strawberrynet requested!

Anyone thinking of purchasing the 250ml size of Darphin Stimulskin Plus don't because all their stock is due to expire in December 2007!

Great! Vogue forum has deleted my strawberrynet rant now! So frustrated that Strawberrynet will now get away with mistreating long term customers! I just don't think I'll shop there again.

When I order from them I always ask for long expiry dates as often their specials are stock that is replaced by an newer product you should have returned it immediately as I have found their after sales good. I purchased a product that had only 4 months at one stage and when I e-mailed them they said that most products were good for 6 months and I used it.

I doubt you will get your postage and handling refunded back. I had a similar experience with a product that was damaged. They didn't offer to send another one, they just sad they would refund. Well, my refund was minus the postage and handling.

I just noticed that lately the shipping from strawberrynet is taking a lot longer than before. Because strawberrynet has changed the shipping courier and now ship packages via air freight.

About the refund, I think credit card companies tend to take longer to show a credit than they do a charge. However, the refund should show on your account within the next 1-2 weeks.

BTW, EDS is best online Shopping site Wink

Wow sorry to hear that. I've been a long time customer of that site and never had a bad experience with them. I also returned a product once and everything went smoothly.

Why is this news to anyone? Its obvious from the extremely low prices and the nature of their stock (old colors, huge size products, etc.) that they are shady. Who knows where it all comes from......you get what you pay for. They probably remove the expiry date with rubbing alcohol or whatever where they can. Who knows how many people shop there and end up using expired or even fake products.

I have ordered more than 50 products from Strawberrynet in the last 4 years and they certainly are NOT shady!!

The product lines I have ordered are LP, La Mer, Darphin, Kerastase, Christian Dior. Laura Mericer and many many others.

I don't know where the original poster lives but I have never paid for shipping with SN it is always included in the price.

I have always found their customer service to be outstanding and if there ever was an issue Kitty would get back to me immediately.

I always check the dates and not one product has expired.

I am sorry that the original poster is having customer service issues but I don't think it is fair for others with no experience with SN to bash a company that has been in business for 10 years and has a very good reputation!!

F.Y.I.
The company is based in Hong Kong, which has a notorious "free market". I've touched on this subject before, and it's nothing new.
http://www.reshare.org/channelmanagement/Anti_Diversion_030805.pdf

If you read the article, the e-tailer sited in this thread is actually mentioned for their sales practices.

Just because an e-tailer's site is "accredited", doesn't mean they're "authorized" by the companies whose products they're selling.

As taken from their website policies:
Any other trademarks, company names, product names, and/or logos set forth in this website, including those of or related to any products, are the property of their respective owners . StrawberryNET.Com does not claim to own any of these trademarks and StrawberryNET.Com is not related to, endorsed by, or in any other way connected or associated with these companies.

They also indicate:
Neither StrawberryNET.Com, nor its affiliates, nor any of their officers, directors, or employees, agents, third-party content providers, merchants, sponsors, licensors (collectively, "Providers"), or the like, warrant that StrawberryNET.Com will be uninterrupted or error-free; nor do they make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from the use of StrawberryNET.Com, or as to the accuracy, reliability, or currency of any information content, service, or merchandise provided through StrawberryNET.Com.

Speak to the hand I've not written anything damaging or defamatory of the company, but have merely highlighted statements from their website policies, and have shared information from an article.

I'm sure the company has satisfied the needs of many customers, and clearly have a strong customer base, including some whom have posted comments in this thread. Consumers have the right to purchase from whomever they wish, and I am certainly not out to berate people for their personal choices.

However, if a product has not been purchased from an authorized retailer, the consumer cannot be guaranteed the same standards as when purchasing from an authorized retailer.

EDS is an authorized retailer for all of the brands which we proudly represent.
Very Happy

RE: Credit not applied to card
Know that it can take up to 3 or 4 weeks for a foreign issued credit to be posted to a cardholder's account. Charges are posted immediately, but credits, for some reason, take longer. When I purchased & returned something, vacationing in Florida, the refund wasn't applied to my Canadian credit card until 3½ weeks after the store had done the refund.

I'm sure the credit will show up on the O.P.'s card statement soon.
