Well I just made my first purchase in my quest for a new skin care regime and it is the SkinCeuticals 10% Vitamin C serum. When I has purchasing it, I wanted to get the 15 or 20% but the esthetician suggested I start at a lower percentage and work my way up even though I told her I didn't have sensitive skin. I bought what she suggestd so we'll see how it goes. It goes on nicely, not sticky or anything and it absorbs well. When I go to a higher percentage, does the consistancy change? When I got home and read the information on it, it suggests that I use it only in the morning. Does anyone know why? |

I've been using Vivier's Serum 20, but recently found a great deal on Skinceuticals 20 AOX that I couldn't resist! I like this serum...it sinks in fast and isn't sticky at all. I had used SC CE Ferulic in the past and found that it left my skin feeling tacky.
As far as using the C serum in the a.m. only...you can use it at night if you want...it's not harmful---it's just that one of the benefits of using it in the a.m. is that it helps provide a little extra protection from the sun when used with sunscreen, and once it is absorbed by the skin, it can't be washed or rubbed off, remaining effective for a minimum of 72 hours (according to Skinceuticals). Using it just once a day is more economical, too |
