| I heard a rumor that this color is being discontinued. Anyone know if that's true? If so, any recs in Clinique or any other lines for a lipstick (not in a pot) product close to Black Honey? |

| Hi marci65 - There was another thread about this lipcolor recently and it interested me. I haven't had time to get to a department store -- what does Black Honey look like on the lips? |

| Black Honey is a very sheer, slightly glossy berry tint that can go a bit darker if you layer. It's very much a my-lips-but-better sort of lippie and a classic. I highly doubt Clinique would discontinue such a hugely popular color. |

| I've never used the Clinque, but I have a Victoria's Secret lipstick that is a dead ringer for this black honey shade-- It's the 'sheer' formula and it's called Sinful. |

| I was on a kick to find a replica of black honey for cheaper a few weeks ago. Covergirl's Lipslicks (I think that's the name) and Wet N Wild has a replica too. |

| The two drugstore dupes of "Black Honey" that I know of are: Maybelline's Wet Shine lipstick in "Drippin' Honey" (now discontinued, I think); Wet'n'Wild's WildShine lipstick in "Luscious Shine" #326. |

yes it's 326!
I think the CG Lipslicks is call "sinful" or something like that. I'm not a big fan of the smell, so I'm sticking with the WnW, which magically, is only $1 and some change. |

| I don't think it will be discontinued because my last purchase of Clinique product at The Bay counter they gave me a gift with purchase that include a travel size or that lipstick. Also in the fall collection they put it back with 3 new shades of red3plum colors...but..black honey is still my favorite. |

Cameron Diaz is a fan of this stuff, as are some other celebs -- I recall reading how popular it was years ago. I myself have a tube and even though I don't like most Clinique stuff, I do love this shade.
In case they really DO discontinue it, I also had a tube of regular lipstick of theirs in a shade called Black Lily I think, that was very similar.
But I agree that it's doubtful they'd cancel such a cult classic! They may just be out of stock since it's so popular. |

| Covergirl TruShine has a berry shade like this--believe it or not the CG Trushine shades are really nice--and I'm an expensive lippie kind of gal. They are not smelly and give just a nice hint of colour that you can pump up with lipliner. |

| Hey Beeb? Could you please tell me what color you found in the CG true shine colors that mimics Black Honey? I too cannot believe they'd discontine that color as it's been one of their top sellers for years, but then who knows what these companies are thinking these days! BTW, do the true shine colors come in a squeeze tube, or a regular lipstick tube? Thanks much. |

I like #415 BlushBerry Shine. It's a regular lipstick tube and it goes on nicely. |
