Bod Mandarin, Lime & Nutmeg
Organic Rice Body Scrub
at first glance, this body scrub appears in the container to be like most other sugar scrubs. once applied, though, i could really tell a difference as it is does not melt away like traditional sugar scrubs nor does it simply rinse off. the combination of the rice and clay makes the exfoliating action feel more robust while still gentle but with longer staying power which means you can easily get away with using less product. to remove, you lightly wipe the scrub off with your hands under water, leaving behind the moisturizing effect of the almond oil. as far as the scent goes, the dominant scent when in use is mostly orange and lime (as you would expect considering the name) but once you wash it off, all that is left, if anything, is the faintest faintest smell of nutmeg.
blurb: traditionally the japanese used the natural starches in rice to rub on their bodies, softening the skin, leaving a natural shine. inspired by this age old wisdom, this organic rice body scrub also uses active mineral clay, a revitalising, antibacterial ingredient. designed to remove old skin allowing new skin to flourish, you will be left glowing with health and radiance.
ingredients: organic brown rice, almond oil (prunus amygolalus), active mineral clay (kaolin), nutmeg (myristica fragans), mandarin (citrus reticulata), lime (citrus medica), nutmeg (myristica fragrans) essential oils
packaging: round amber coloured recyclable plastic container
size: 250g / 8.8 fl oz
no animal testing, no artificial fragrance, no petrochemicals/sulphates/parabens

Rice is definately the food of gods for the skin! I have used ground rice powder a lot for quick home-made body/face scrubs and it works wonderfully.
As much as I dont like body scrubs (I prefer a nylon towel or body brush pre-shower), this sounds so yummy I will get some when next I go to Oz! |
