I have the 'old' version of the Alima #25 and really, really like it. I would like to purchase another in order to have two mineral make-up brushes (to make things easier around washing/drying time).
Has anyone got comments/thoughts re:the new #25 Alima...is it as good as the old version of the brush? Thank you. |

from what i've heard, the new brush is just as nice as the old one. i haven't ordered it myself yet though. the only real difference is the length of the handle (it's shorter) and if there is any difference in softness, the old one *may* be a touch softer. and also it dries faster. no difference in the application of the mmu though. |

I have both 25s, the old and the new.
Got them side by side now for comparison
The new one is about 2 cm shorter (in total). The actual bristle part seems just a little shorter in length, is not quite as wide, and less dense. Haven’t cleaned it yet, but it’s GOT to dry faster than the old one which took forever.
The new one seems noticeably softer to me, although I notice chr3 thinks the old one is softer
Appearance-wise, the metal part that holds the bristles on the new one is more attractive (to my eye). It’s a matte/ish bronze type colour, whereas the old one is shiny gold/ish, looked a bit cheap and scratched/marked easily.
At first, wasn’t sure if I liked the new one as I prefer long handled brushes, but now I “think” I like it better than the old. I’ve haven’t been able to see much difference, if any, in terms of application
I also got the new 17 blush brush and am liking it big time! |

I ordered from them yesterday too along with so many samples. I don't have the old one so can't really compare. |
