Yes, I've used retinol on my neck and chest. |

I have used it on my face and neck, so it should work the same on the chest as is does on the face. |

I used it last night for the first time, I'm new to retinol, my chest is a real mess. It's probably due to tanning. |

Your skin might start to peel, but that is normal. |

Does the peeling last long?? and I would think that the skin under it is fresh...........Can't wait to start peeling........... |

I used Green Cream on my face, neck and chest.
A word of caution: the skin on my neck turned out to be very sensitive -- more so than my face. I would compare it to the skin right under the eyes in terms of sensitivity.
I could use GC Level 9 on my face and chest, but never got past Level 6 on my neck. |

My neck/chest is also sensitive to retinol/retinoids. Get red, irritated and rashy. |

However, the neck area's skin is thinner... You may want to put just a little, not too much...

So far it's going fine with my neck and chest. I use retinol every night, can I still go to tanning sessions?? |

Your supposed to avoid the sun and tanning beds when using retinol. If you do start tanning again you will negate any results you may have gotten from retinol. I own my own tanning bed. I haven't used it in years. I've done enough damage to my face, neck and chest. Now I use a sunless tanner. I don't want to ruin the years of results I've gotten from my skincare by tanning again. If you don't care about creating more sun damage, go ahead and tan. The retinol will make you more suseptible to sun damage. |

I wouldn't advise it. I suggest trying to break the tanning habit.
Retinol can repair a lot of sundamage, over time .... but it also makes your skin photosensitive, so if you aren't careful, you could easily inflict even more damage.
That's just my 2 cents, from a recovered tanning addict. |

I guess it's time for me to shop for a good sunless tan. Your right, but it is addictive.

I wonder if the body might absorb too much of the product if it's applied over large areas when it's only meant for the face. They advise pregnant women not to use Retin-A products at all because it can be absorbed through the skin and cause damage to the fetus. I know I got really sick years ago when I applied a strong antibiotic cream to my chest and back for acne. I absorbed too much through my skin and it did a real number on my digestive track. I was sick for weeks. |

Hmm, best to check with a derm on retinoid strength and suitable length of exposure if applied over large areas then |
