I was wondering how many of you have sent private emails to each other and ended up chatting and exchanging lives and even getting to visit each other.
I got on really well with Karolina Rzecka when I first joined the forum, she used to drive me nuts how she would analyse everything 50 times before re-analysing and then doing tons of research before she would actually put anything in her shopping cart - then she would change her mind, and do more research - I had such fun moaning about her little ways, and she would moan forever about how impulsive I was and would just buy stuff. We met up several times and she became like my little sister. Sadly, at 28, she died of cancer last October but Ive come back on the forum after a spell away and can track down her old posts and manage a chuckle at them.
Hope lots of you have made some really good friends through this forum and bring lots of joy to each other. |

Oh no Cindi! So sad, so young!
I'm glad you were able to recount & share your fonder moments with us.
I too have made many friends b/c of this forum, some that I have met IRL, others I'm meeting next month.
For all it's shortcomings, lol - or maybe b/c of them I am grateful to have found this place and forged the friendships I have been so lucky to have given to me. |

Making friends is definitely one of my favorite things about this forum! While I haven't met anyone from EDS face-to-face yet (the offer is on the table ladies... I live in beautiful Cleveland, 10 minutes away from Sephora...), I've made a lot of friendships that definitely extend way beyond the forum. One of my closest friends from here (as I'm sure most people have probably picked up on from reading our posts...^-^) is the inimitable vonstella--- that girl is like my long-lost sister! I was very sorry to hear abour your friend, Cindi, and I hope you can continue to make more close friends here--- there are a lot of great gals on this forum!^-^ |

Cindi, that's just awful about your friend, I'm so sorry.
It's amazing to me, when I think of the friendships that I have formed with some of you, through sharing in the forum, and through PM's. It's just so nice. I get so happy when the emails come for PM's... And I also find myself looking forward to lots of members post's. Even if I'm not so interested in the topic, I'm still interested in what they have to say, because I respect their opinion, or they make me laugh, or they just give a great review..etc.. Some folks just can't help but to put a smile on my face, and that always feels good..
It's a lovely feeling, to care about people you have never met person to person. I actually find myself from time to time, thinking about the lot of you, and sending good thoughts your way.
It would be fun to plan a weekend getaway someplace nice, and really get to know each other. Who knows, it could wind up to be an annual event.... We could call it; "Beauty Warrior Weekend; Have Tools, Will Travel"..
Have a great day!

I've met up with a couple of EDS members who live in my area, and it's quite fun to do! And I have a few e-friendly relationships too.
The friendly culture is part of what attracts me so much to this forum -- I love that it really feels like a community! |

Can't say that I've developed any life-long friends through forums since I've only participated in forums for a couple years and I've lived much longer than that
I have met a few members from other forums, haven't met any from EDS yet now what's up wizzat? But there are a few e-buds I often communicate via PM and email that I would really like to meet in real life.
I may be able to answer your question better in about 10 years! |

There are so many lovely ladies here on EDS I'd love to meet in real life and forge a life-long friendship with. I think because of the geographic limitation, it's probably not going to happen. I was so lucky to have met Mabsy when she visited LA, and also MACrisis who helped to arrange the meeting. I think one thing for sure if and when we get to meet other EDS ladies, we would starting talking skincare and check out each other's skin. LOL Anyway whoever lives in S.Cali or plans to move here, we should really try to meet up one of these days. hehe
I am very deeply sorry about your friend Cindi. That is so sad. Cancer can be very unkind even to young people. |

I'm so sorry about the loss of your friend. To be taken in the prime of life is incredibly sad. |
