Hello -
I have mixed skin and I live in a very dry environment. Winter is finally ending here in Mtl (we still have 3 feet of snow that is slowly but surely melting) and I am looking for a moisturizer that I can apply after a my Retin-A in the evening. Something that I can also use after a mask. I am really confused about all the products out there. |

I have tried Creme de la Mer and its really greasy and over priced. I would suggest Prevage Night Cream by Elizabrth Arden its brillant |

I like using OSEA APC at night, sometimes layered with Weleda Rose Oil Capsules. |

I keep going back to Philosophy's When Hope is Not Enough. Love the smell, too, if you like your creams with fragrance. I do. It helps me relax at night. |

Blaze~ I use Philosophy's When Hope is not Enough as well...I love it..and I alternate b/w that and Estee Lauder's ReNutriv Ultimate lifting creme b/c my mother insists on me using this product. I don't know I have combo. skin and the Estee Lauder creme seems just fine on my skin even though it's fairly rich. So my philosophy is, no pun intended, the cheaper product one day and the next the more expensive. I don't know if that's the best method, but it's mine, and I'm happy with it for now. |

Hi, gellys. Haven't tried the Estee's. I've tried a lot of dept store brands, as well as "spa" brands (Murad, Dermalogica, etc.). For some reason, Philosophy seems to be working well with my skin. I'm glad you've found a good way to alternate your brands. |

Some to consider:
* Laboratoire Dr Renaud Double Action Humectant and Protective Cream
* Phytomer HydraContinue Moisturizing Base Skin Cream
* Osmotics Cream Extreme Barrier Repair
* Remergent Barrier Repair Formula
* Valmont Regenetic Hydration Cream |

Not a cream, but Dr. H's Rhythmic Night Conditioner has helped my dry skin a LOT! |

Well, I'm going to suggest my favourite and that is Cellcosmet. But what ever you buy, make sure you apply very little so that you don't have build up or get oily skin. |

I am assuming that when you say you have mixed skin you mean combination skin. Is it oily/combination or dry/combination?
You will need to know your skin type first, also your skin type might be different in different climates (summer/winter) so may have to change skincare products in summer or winter.
Also you have stated you use Retin A so in the daytime you will definetely need to apply sunscreen especially in spring/summer. |
