I have been using Dr Hauschka Normalising Day Oil but would like a Day Lotion that I can use on days when I really don't have the time in the mornings to wait for the Oil to sink in before applying make-up.
Any recomendations for both drugstore and highend moisturisers would be much appreciated |

I've been using Clean and Clear oil free shine control moisturizer forever. It doesn't break me out and doesn't feel greasy. On the bottle it says "long lasting shine control", but it doesn't really control shine for me. But I have pretty oily skin, so I have to use blotters anyway. This is my HG moisturizer, I would totally freak out if they discontinued it! Plus, it's really cheap (I think around $5), and the bottle lasts forever.
They also have a "dual action" moisturizer that has salicylic acid that I haven't tried, but the bottles look almost the same, so if you want the one I use make sure to look carefully at the label... hope that helps! |

I use a tiny amount of PSF Moisture Balancing Lotion to moisturize my oily skin. It's one of two moisturizers i've found (other one is HA) that doesn't break me out. |

Hello rosebud,
I forgot if you ever tried Jurlique's Herbal Recovery Gel before? It's my new favorite and it absorbs really well even after c-serum. You can try to get a sample if you have not tried it yet.

Hi Rosebud! If you have oily skin, Zenbiotic's Phyto Moisture should be just right for you. Just a few spritzes on damp skin and you're moisturized and ready for makeup--- no wait time! If you need a little more moisture because of the cold weather, you can add ZB's Moisture Enrich right on top of the Phyto Moisture. It looks like an oil, but it's some kind of magical formulation because it sinks in within seconds. HTH! |

Hi Rosebud!!!
You may want to look into SkinMedica's oil-free version. I use their Rejuvenating Moisturizer and like it fairly well. Based upon this I would imagine their oil-free version might be a winner as well. Also Clinique's Moisture Surge Gel is another great option. I can use this when it's very hot and humid and it be enough for me. Check them out!!!
HTH

I feel the same way about the Dr H normalising oil and would really like to try a light mosituriser that will control oil production and not make me breakout. I have combination skin and I feel I really should be using two different products on it. I am also finding that the oil is having less effect than it did at the start, anyone else experienced this???
ParisTroika - is the Calendula cream suitable for oily/acne-prone skin? Does it clog pores or cause breakouts? |

I would give Photolagen a try. It sinks in very fast and will not add to oil problems or cause breakouts. It is sold by EDS under the Amino Genesis line. |

Hi Rosebud! Long time no see...
I highly recommend trying out Zenbiotic's Phyto Moisture & Winter Moisturizer or Moisture Enrich. I their products! I switched to this range the beginning of December and am having great results so far (I really need to post my reviews... I've been so bad about doing that the last few months... ). Here are the Zenbio products I am using:
Foundation pack
Sun Protector & Moisturizer (AM)
Winter Moisture (AM when needed and always PM)
I was only using the foundation pack and found that it wasn't quite enough hydration so Robert of Zenbiotics recommended I try adding in the Sun Protection and Winter Moisturizer and it's really helped. I still want to try the Moisture Enrich too though to check out its texture. |

I have oily skin, and I use Dermalogica Active Moist. Some people think it's a bit greasy, but I think it's lovely. HTH |

I'm oily/acne-prone and I have NO problems with the Calendula cream...surprising considering it is a thicker-type moisturizer. It's great! |

Hi Rosebud,
IS the quince too much for you? I like it as an occasional moisturizer but then I have mixed skin, towards dry in winter.
BTW, I prefer Dr. Hauschka's normalizing day oil to jojoba, evening oil of primrose, Decleor Neroli and Decleor Ylang-Ylang. ISn't that something?! |

Today I bought a moisturiser
I was in Boots and they were selling off all the ROC products, so I purchased:
*Matifying Re-Sourcing Care: Fresh hydrating Gel for Combination Skin.
It said on the box it was ideal for a make-up base so fingers crossed this works |

I second Dermalogica Active Moist. I would also recommend: Neutrogena Visibly Firm Night Cream and Garnier Nutritionist for normal/combination skin.
I the morning, you don't need to use moisturizer. Just put sunscreen on, as Paula Begoun says. |

I Dr H Quince Day cream. It smells divine, is hydrating but not greasy. I rub a small amount in my hands to emulsify then pat on my skin before applying makeup.

Ohhh, that sounds like a lovely moisturizer. Let us know how you like it. Too bad in the states we don't have the full line of ROC..well at least where I live we don't.
This is a great d/s line, IMHO. |
