I just checked the DDF website and I guess the revised formula doesn't contain any parabens in it. It seems the ss contains a lot of silicones in it so I'm afraid.
Just want to know for those of you that're using the revised version of this ss, do u find that it breaks u out or clogs your pores? Allergies? Also, what kinda cleanser is needed to remove it? I hope not a cleansing oil |

I tried this and I was really excited about it at first because I've been looking for a sunscreen that doesn't clog pores and I can't use chemical sunscreens. It worked well for a few days and I was amazed at how well it blended in with my skin tone (no whitish looking face). Only problem was that it clogged my pores and I ended up getting a reaction to this sunscreen. I stopped using it for a few days, hoping it was something else because I really wanted this sunscreen to work out for me. I tried it again and still the same reaction, allergic, redness and clogged pores. I eventually stopped using it. I used a regular cleanser like Obagi and my cleanser works fairly well even when removing makeup. |

Hi sweet28, hhm.... what kinda skin do u have? Do u have sensitive skin that reacted to things easily? BTW, what ss r u using right now? I'm in search of a ss that I can use with my MMU. I'm getting quite fed up right now cuz I can't seem to find anything that works for my stupid skin |

Hi Stardustdy, I've got very sensitive skin. It's also prone to breakouts if I'm not careful with what I put on it. The pores clog very easily. I was even told by a derm that I have a mild case of rosacea which explained why I have 'pinkish' cheeks even without makeup. I'm not using any ss at the moment. So I'm still searching for a good daily ss. I also use MMU and vit C serum to give me some antioxidant protection. For work days, I'm not usually out in the sun (basically stuck at the office). When I'm out in the sun for a long time I've used Cotz sunscreen successfully http://www.totalblock.com/cotz.html. |

I also purchased this recently and was worried that it would be too oily. I have combination skin (dehydrated on my cheeks) but can be oily on my t-zone. I think the secret is not to use too much or else it can make my skin oilier but I have noticed that I am getting a few breakouts on my chin at the moment. Not sure if its hormonal this month so I'm persevering with it for the moment.
I use PSF Green Tea Cleanser and it removes it fine.
My favourite sunscreen would have to be MD Formulations Face Protector. I haven't seen it around for a while so I'm thinking that they don't make it anymore. It was perfect for my skin. |

sweet28, the Cotz ss that you're using, is it thick on the skin? Does it cause a white cast? It doesn't look like something that I can use everyday. Also, what kinda cleanser do u use to remove it? Thanks! |

Wow, what a coincidence!!! My daughter has been using this for awhile, and has loved it. Interestingly, after giving her a new tube, she just told me the other day that her skin has broken out and she can't figure out why. She thought maybe it was stress, or travelling. We will have to keep an eye on this one!!!! |

I thought the same thing too, that it might have been something else causing my problems for my skin. I gave it several tries (stop using the sunscreen, let the skin clear, and using it again) but each time I got the same result and the only thing I could pinpoint was the sunscreen. It seemed very promising at first and I was REALLY hoping it would work out but nope. I hope it works out for your daughter but always good to be careful just in case she's reacting to it the same way I did.
Stardustdy- the Cotz non-chemical sunscreen is quite thick on the skin at SPF 58. It gives a bit of a white cast so you have to spread it around to create a nice thin layer. I would recommend it for being outdoors but for daily use (which I did use it for at one point) it feels 'thick'. There were many days I used it under MMU to cover the 'shine' but I felt it was a bit too much. I used the same Obagi cleanser and sometimes one from Sisley (milk cleanser for sensitive skin) as my cleanser. |
