Hi! I have tried to search for this but I can't find any information. My husband has a lot of broken capillaries (spider veins) on his face. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a device to help remove them without seeing doctor. I know they have laser treatments for this. However, he had that done once and they burned him badly.

I was looking into the NuFace for wrinkles and was just wondering if anyone knows of anything for the veins. Thank you. Very Happy

I have had success with diathermy. It's a treatment with a needle, almost similar to electrolysis. 15 years ago I had two small roses of unsightly blood veins on my upper cheek. They were removed after one treatment and have not come back.

Here's a thread on this topic from EDS forum:

Hello, Yogi.
I am sorry I can't remember exactly how long it took. I just recall that I found it to be very efficient, and one treatment was enough for me. I think it should not take more than a few weeks for it to disappear if the treatment has been successful. Smile

Helichrysum hydrosol spritzed on the face morning, afternoon, and evening can help. Search for more info and order fromwww.naturesgift.com andwww.mountainroseherbs.com.

Also, Eris Dilated Capillaries Line (from Dr. Irena Eris) here on EDS is pretty good. I especially like the cleanser, but it has been out of stock at EDS for a long long time.

I know you mentioned that you don't want to see a doc, but Metrogel would probably be the most helpful thing. Apply a small pea-sized amount to face once a day. A big tube lasts a long time.

I also have the dreaded spider veins on my face and have been looking for something natural to apply instead of expensive laser or other types of painful treatments! Thanks Jeannine for the web sites!

Finding a remedy without an MD sounds tough but I would recommend getting them injected with salt water. I have very bad veins all over my body that are heridiary. The Dr. injects the vein with the salt water, puts some tape over the injection site, and they are gone within a couple hours. Salt water is good injector because (almost) no one is allergic to it. Also its quick and there's no nasty burns, scabs or anything. The only way to go. I don't see how the vein creams can penetrate past all the skin layers and dissolve a vein.

I agree. It's most unlikely. Some creams might reduce redness/slight couperose in face, but I don't think they will remove spider veins/thread veins.
