I've been testing the Vivier Vitamin C and loving the texture and feel of it and it doesn't seem to be as drying as others I've tried but it doesn't sting like the Skinceuticals did. Does this mean anything? Thanks! |

What kind of vit C is it? If you've been using C for awhile, no it doesn't have to sting because your skin is accustomed to the acidity. Actually, Skinceuticals doesn't sting me anymore as well as others.
I've not heard of Vivier tho', it is still L-Ascorbic isn't it? |

Yes, its L-Ascorbic. I belileve, correct me if I'm wrong ladies, that Vivier is by the same makers of Skin Medica? I'm loving the texture of this, not too thin, not too thick, doesn't feel oily. Maybe you are right, maybe my skin has adjusted and not any brand of Vitamin C will sting anymore. |

I use the C+ Firming serum from cellularskinrx.com and it feels warm on my face (especially if I put on after exfoliating) but it has never "stung"...I think stinging is not a good sign. I would think it indicates that the C concentration is a bit high for your skin. |

When I first started using vit C serums I did get slight stinging for the first few days. It so happens that I started out with Skinceuticals. Going back to SC, it now does not sting. I then switched to the Vivier 20% and that has not stung (and was not as drying as the SC). So I would assume that my skin simply got used to the concentration. |

I really don't think any product should have to sting your face to be effective. No stinging to me means that it is well formulated.
I use the Vivier 10% vitamin C serum with excellent results, and it has never stung. Vivier and SkinMedica do come from the same manufaturer, the website is Vivierpharma.com if I remember correctly. I love the texture of the Vivier as well. It's not drying and not oily. Feels great on my skin! |
