I've just found this forum and I think its great.
I'm 33 years old and have started getting quite a few wrinkles around my eyes. I'm not very informed about anti-wrinkle treatments /skin care and I use the Oil of Olay Regenerist. What do you guys recommend I should be using on my face/neck and especially eye area. Any opinions you can offer would be really appreicated as I just don't even know where to start. I've always bought store brand products (L'oreal, Oil of Olay, Nutroegena, etc) and not had anything make a significant difference. HELP PLEASE

Hiya~

Are you looking specifically for drugstore products? I have tried and liked the following:

-Olay Total effects restorative (black tube) It is light and gentle enough to be used under the eyes.
-Avalon Vitamin C serum (healthfood store)

One of my favourite retinol product is green cream from lindasy.com. It is a semi-thick gel that applies smoothly and sinks in with no greasy after-feel. Be forewarned to start out slow though as some girls report back on peeling, flaky skin when using too much and too often.

Try incorporating a good stable vitamin C cream or serum. I've tried and liked Jan Marini's C-esta and Skinceuticals 15% and Primary C+E and PCA's 20%+5%E.
Sadly I haven't found an eyecream that I like enough to confidently recommend despite having 5 different jars sitting on my dresser right now. Sigh.

Except for the token Olay products that I've mentioned, my skin unfortunately seem to only respond to products that leave a hole in my pocket. Sad

What is your skin type?

My skin type is normal.
It doesn't have to be store brand. I'm just looking for something that does the "job".
Thanks.

regenerist isn't a bad product at all...it has the same 'magic' ingredient as stri vectin. As regards eye creams, murad essential c is good, it has spf and lasts for ever! I expect Mabsy's radar will soon pick up the word eye cream and give you lots more info Surprised

Ping.......Ping........Ping....Ping....Ping....Ping...Ping...Ping...Ping..Ping..Ping.Ping.Ping.Bleeeeeeep! Did someone say eye cream? Smile Just kidding.

First off, I would recommend a vitamin C serum also. They have ones specifically for the eye area that have a lower concentration. Also, another critical factor I think is a good sunblock. In my opinion nothing will work as well at preventing wrinles as sunblock. And if you are going to try to repair the area then you need to start using sunblock. If the area around your eyes isn't dry then I would recommend Murad Essential-C Eye Cream with SPF15. It's got some vit C in it (though I wouldn't rely on that and still get the proper serum). My two other favorites are the Cellcosmet Eye Contour Cream ($$$ but love it!) and also the Babor Sensational Eyes Eye Cream. If you do have dry skin around the eye area then Shiseido Benefiance is a very rich (and really good eye cream). Also, Phytomer Eye Contour Lift seems to be highly regarded by some people here so that might be worth a try as well. The other thing that is good also is the Eye Bright Serum from CellularSkinRx. I think it's targeted more at dark circles but it's a nice hyaluronic gel that I use over the vit C eye serum (when I'm using one).
