I'm hoping someone can direct me to a product that works like Diacneal that odes NOT contain any silicones of ANY kind.

I used Diacneal for three weeks and I LOVED the results. I had fantastic results. My skin has not been so clear, even-toned and glowing since my 20's, I'm now 38 years old. I was using it for it's exfoliating properties, as well as it's ability to help with hyper-pigmentation and to help with congestion in my t-zone.

Anyway after three weeks I started getting a LOT of white heads. These whiteheads started to grow in size and they are now sizable bumps underneath my skin. I'm almost positive that this is because of the silicones in it.

Hi debegonia and welcome to he forum! Very Happy

I`ve been using Diacneal for appr. same time as you and cannot say it helps with congestion in the t-zone at all. I`m prone to breakouts before my periods and Diacneal is not helping here, however claims to be anti-acne.
I`m using it for anti-aging (retinaldehyde being vit.A product) and do not like the added glycolic acid in fact. Would prefer retinaldehyde only.

So if you are looking for an exfoliating product, I would suggest Jan Marini bioglycolic bioclear (either cream or lotion). I had used the cream one before Diacneal, I got it for combating my breakouts and it did the great job! My face was clear and glowing. (however do not let youself be fooled by "glowing" from using acids - this "glowing" comes from micro-inflammations the acids cause).

Ingredients:
Active Ingredients: Salicylic Acid, Azelaic Acid. Other Ingredients:Deionized Water, Glycolic Acid and Ammonium Glycolate, Glyercyl Stearate and PEG-100 Stearate, Glycerin, Hexyl Laurate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butylene Glycol, Sorbitol, Sorbitan Stearate, Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Azelaic Acid, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Hyaluraonate, Yeast Extract, Comfrey, Indian Plantain, Wheat Hydrolysate and Amino Acids, Wood, Mallow, Ivy, Pellitory, Cucumber, Elder, Arnica Extracts, Phenoxyethanol (and) Butylparaben (and) Ethylparaben (and) Propylparaben (and) Methylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Xantham Gum, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Tocopheryl Acetate

If you would rather be looking for anti-aging, I would suggest Avene Retrinal with the same % of retinaldehyde as Diacneal but without glycolic acid.

You may also consider a prescription-strength retinoid product like Retin-A. As it contains retinoic acid, it will combat acne as well as signs of aging. If you order it from one of the online pharmacies, likewww.alldaychemist.com orwww.inhousepharmacy.com, you won't need a prescription.

I am not 100 % sure that Retin-A does not contain silicons, but intuition tells me it is silicone-free.
