I noticed that a major factor in recurring hyperpigmentation is irritation caused by products...even if it isn't immediatley obvious that your face is irritated. Most lightening products are in serums or gels rather than creams or balms. I bought 5 grams of alpha arbutin from GOW and I want to makes some sort of lightening soothing/healing balm.
I don't even know where to start. I was thinking of just buying something pre-made and adding the arbutin, but I'm not sure what kind of ingredient interactions there may be, etc. I was thinking of adding the arbutin to 100% pure facial balm.
Any ideas ladies? |

Are you planning to add any kojic acid to your mix? |

Hi,
I'm about to buy the Arbutin powder from garden of wisdom, too. I have melasma. After reading a bazillion articles/cosmetic ingredient lists/reviews all over the web, I decided to try using arbutin on my own, instead of in some over priced pre made potion. I'm thinking of adding it to my Vitamin C serum. Coconut, have you tried making anything yet? How'd it come out? You see results? Please do tell!!! |
