What have you ladies had the best results with?
Just an added note: I did some searching on EDS for info on the No-No hair removal device and I heard it BURNED some people!!!! I actually recently saw an article in Marie Claire that says there are better devices out there but unfortunately I threw the issue out awhile ago (Maggie Gylenhall(sp)was on the cover) out so I don't have the names of of the other devices. If there is another thread on this as well, please ladies, point me in the right direction!! I am sick of having to shave the hair on my lower stomach and am SO self-consious of it, I just want it gone permanently!!! |

From what I understand if you dont hold the device correctly you can get burns. And, like most things, you do have to continue to use it keep your results.
Have you considered using an epilator?
Try searching over at hairtell.com. |

I have been removing hair from upper lip, legs etc with a home electrolysis device with very good results. The hairs are permanently removed. This method is time-consuming and will require some practice, but for me it has been well worth it.
You can take a look at the thread I started with Q and A about home electrolysis.

There is also a laser device called Tria for home use. It's very expensive, and I am not sure about what results people have achieved. Here is a thread:

I totally sympathise with you. I've cried about mine before.
I pull them out. It's so painful but if I shaved I'd just get this big bald patch on my tummy. I don't mind my fine downy hairs (I think it's very sensual and sexy on women) but I'm so ashamed by my stomach and the mean wiry black hairs its doomed to sprout.
I hope no one I knows sees this |

I've tried No!No! with iffy results. It takes a lot of time - just doing my arms and lower legs takes about an hour, and while it definitely thins out the hair, I still need to shave after using it. The smell of burning hair is pretty bad, but i haven't had any problems at all with burning my skin (definitely watch the enclosed DVD if you get one!).
My hair has grown back remarkably thinner after using it three times a week for three months. So it seems to be effective, but it does take a lot of time!

Hehe. It made me smile anyway
Seriously though, it makes me feel better knowing someone else has a tummy out there like mine. I searched for images on Flickr once, the photography site, to see if I could find women who had stomachs like mine. Some search for like-minded people, I was searching for like-haired tummies. The last time I checked, our tummies have a cult following and a group dedicated to them |

There is a brand called MUM which is all natural ingredients, easy to use and price is OK. I also have a friend who takes a not expensive honey and simmers it to the point that it is sticky. Then she uses it as an epilator on a cloth: very inexpensive and effective. |
