I am now taking the following.
I am 55 years old.
Calcium 1000 units
Magnesium 500 units
Pomegranate 250 units
hyaluronic Acid 2 capsules (not sure of the units)
Vitamin D 1000 units
Resveratrol (1 capsule) not sure of the units
Multi Vitamin (one a day women's health)
Sometimes I take Omega 3 (2 capsules)
I am thinking of adding Biotin. What do you think? Anyone out there knowledgeable. I just go by what I read.
Thanks Sherry |

Wow! Thats a lot of stuff to take....I only take a daily adult chewable vitamin, 1oz of 100% Acai Juice 2x daily (That stuff is AMAZING!) and tried taking Hyaluronic Acid MSM suppliments twice daily as well but I have this problem with swallowing pills that are anything over medium in size and I found the HA capsules to big for me to swallow (hence the reason I take a daily chewable!)...
I do wish I could take fish oil as well, but those are like gigantic and I just can't swing it. One thing I wish they would do is make pills in smaller condensed form for people like me.....
Your lineup seems like a good one though and Biotin might be a good addition....how long have you been on this suppliment regime? Have you noticed any benefits since being on them? Might I suggest though if you have any problem with feeling run down during the day (which is what I had) you may consider adding the 100% Acai juice to your routine. It has done wonders for myself as far as feeling well rested and keeping my energy throughout the day. I know, adding yet another thing! ha ha....but it really is a great thing to take not only for the energizing properties but for the antioxidant ones as well..... |

hi bren21,
Instead of fish oil caps I take Coromega packages from vitacost.com. They are small packages of omega 3's that are deodorised and flavored in orange, lime and chocolate flavors. |

I take phosphatidylserine and acetyl L-carnitine + alpha-lipoic acid for mental clarity (ha!)
in addition to my "beauty" supplements: MSM/Vitamin C, Bio-Sil,
and my "wellness" supplements: Calcium + D, Epi-Cor, Coromega, and Oxy-Cleanse.
I get my supplements from iHerb.com but there are other reliable sources also. |

I take salmon oil capsules, and FemMed Hormonal Balance herbal supplement (primary ingredient is Saw Palmetto).
I also pop Vitamin C when I remember.
I was taking the Phyto Phytopanere nutritional supplement, and after over a year of taking them, I'm not sure they did anything.
I do like the Hair, Skin and Nail formulations at GNC, and buy them whenever I go to the USA. |

I am trying to remember to take my vitamins this year (a new year's resolution of mine...)
so here is what I will be taking:
multivitamin
omega 3- fish oil
milk thistle (for liver support while I detox)
st. John's wort (want to finish the bottle)
I just got a hormonal balance supplement too from whole foods--it has Maca in it. I am going off birth control so I am hoping this will help me find my own balance again.
I take melatonin at night occasionally to help me wind down. |

I take cod liver oil three or four times a week and find it makes my skin glow. Apart from that I take powdered wheatgrass mixed with brewers yeast and vitamin c and a daily multi vitamin. The supplements that make me look and feel my best are the brewers yeast and cod liver oil. If I was going to get rid of anything it would probably be the multi vitamin.
I've taken other supplements in the past including a b complex, selenium and msm. I want to keep things simple but if I was going to add anything to my routine it would probably be colloidal minerals. |

The only supplement I take is Dr Brandt's water supplement as an antioxidant and for my skin. It seems to work, and I like the taste! |

I take fish oil/flax oil, two a day, and i also take two vitamin E pills. those are supposed to be good for your skin when you poke a hole and put it on directly. But i just stick to the basics and swallow them. haha |

I am pretty inconsistant with my supplements. I take various herbal treatments which are proscribed by a herbalist but I also take Iron, Perfectil, Pine Bark, Flax oil, probiotics, vitamin C etc Basically if I heard it was good for skin or energy levels I've got a bottle! However I take like 20 a day one week then none the next. I Worry I take to many and would love to just take a few that covered all bases.
I read that Hilary Swank takes 45 supplements a day ... check it out!

I'm a strong believer that good skin happens from the inside out, which is one of the many reasons that I'm also a strong believer in supplements. Here's what I take right now:
*New Chapter Organics Every Woman's One Daily (This is the best multi-vitamin ever! It's whole food based so it's absorbed more efficiently by your body, and it also includes mushrooms for immunity, maca to balance hormones, etc.)
*Calcium-Magnesium
*Iron (I'm a vegetarian)
*Turmeric (For liver function and anti-inflammatory/antioxidant benefits)
*Astragalus (For immune system benefits)
*Mushroom immunity
*Country Life Daily-dophilous (This is definitely one of the best probiotic supplements I've found. One box contains separate AM and PM pills so you have the right probiotics in your system when you need them the most.)
*Spectrum Vegetarian DHA Omega-3 (Got these at Whole Foods if anyone is interested. I LOVE them--- all the benefits of DHA and none of the drawbacks like bad taste, contamination, etc of fish oil. The pills are tiny and easy to swallow too.)
*Kyolic Aged Garlic Formula 102 (I love this formula because it comes in vegetarian capsules and it contains digestive enzymes too. I take garlic mostly for immune benefits, but there are many other benefits too such as blood pressure, etc.)
*Rainbow Light Plant-Sourced Advanced Enzyme system (This is a digestive enzyme supplement. I love it because it also contains herbs like peppermint and ginger to help calm an upset tummy.) |

I take "Ling Zhi" every morning, a Chinese herbs which can effectively improve the immune system. Then Vit C and Vit B complex in the afternoon. And sometimes some Omega 3 after workout!
I took Grapeseed in the past instead of Vit C. So it all depends my current health condition for what to take. |
