I have very dark hair and I decided to try a dark ash blonde shade for a while - thought it would look good with a tan.
Rather than go to a salon like I should have done, I decided to do it myself. Bleached my hair twice in a row with Loreal Dream Blonde 100 and followed that up with Loreal Preference ash blonde. This left me with kind of an apricot hair colour. Today I followed up (as per instructions from L'Oreal) with Superior Preference #7 (dark blonde).
My hair is a mess. and not a hot mess either. It is now dry like hay with a terrible (but possibly tolerable for now) colour. I tried flat ironing it and as I did it would go straight and scraggly...
I miss my old hair it was so nice and soft. What can I do to fix it (the look, feel, and colour)?
Any ideas? I'm sooo upset

You need to go to a professional that specializes in color. They can usually correct the color. Call and see what they recommend. A color that matches your natural color will mean you don't have to color much more later...
Perhaps a few deep conditioning treatments... first, and surely afterward.
You might want to consider a shorter style between now and when your hair grows out...
And then, I don't recommend lightening dark hair on your own... I've never heard a success story... EVER!
Stay away from irons and blow dryers unless you HAVE to have a style...
Good luck! |

....depending on how bad it is - either see a color specialist or drop by your local Sallys for a recommendation - they carry all kinds of correcting products for hair problems - along with Aphogee protein treatments for hair that has been seriously damaged - also great deep conditioners.
Best of luck to you! |
