I'm looking at some retinol products on amazon. At first I was looking at some creams but they had too many ingredients and not enough good ones. So decided to checkout the serums instead. There's a lot of options, but I'm leaning towards this one:
OZ-Naturals-Retinol-Serum-Astaxanthin (once again I can't link to any site, but it's on amazon)
I like how it has around 10 or so ingredients, including green tea: Retinol, Haematococcus Pluvialis, Witch Hazel, Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Rose Hips, Green Tea Leaf Extract, Chamomile.
Should I get this one or look at another one? |

Just to put it out there: I had too many bad reactions for any Retin-A type product. Reading up what Dr Des Fernandes says convinced me that long-term use of Retinyl Palmitate is safe, doesn't give all the pain, redness and flaking, gives the skin it's most used form of vitamin A and does give results. In the long term, vs the perhaps quicker results of blasting the skin with Retin-A.
So I've been using Retinyl Palmitate. Hard to say results only due to that, as I also use Ascorbic acid and microneedling, but my skin is thicker and more elastic despite menopause. |
