Hello! I just got the Dr. Hauschka clay mask and it says you have to steam your face prior to applying the mask. I didn't buy the "steaming" lotion because I thought I could do something similar (or better! )
So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
My skin is very fair, somewhat sensitive, with oily T-zone, and it tends to get red easily.
I would like something that would be beneficial to my skin but also with a nice scent.
Thanks in advance! |

You can purchase a portable face steamer that's reasonably affordable very easily or... Put some hot water in a sink, put your face above it, and then place a towel over your head (making sure to keep the steam inside the area) then apply the mask. Hope this helps. |

If you are sensitive, or prone to broken capillaries at all, I wouldn't recommend steaming. I know some people like it but I don't think its beneficial. |

Something like echoecho's answer,... put water in a pot, let it boil, and put your face at a certain distance of it for the steam of the boiling water to reach your face, a towel over head hanging down the sides to keep the steam directed to the face... if you add Chamomile flowers to the boiled water, that is good for sensitive skin. HIH. |

I know! Echoecho are you aware that you're answering 2+ year old posts? I doubt most of those people are around anymore to see your response. |

echoecho is sharing her knowledge and answering a question to which not many had an answer. There are new people on this board who are directed to search the answers to their questions. echoecho is filling in that void.
Thank you echoecho! |

That would be great if original the postings were more current but many of these topics from 1+ years ago have already been discussed much more recently. |
