oh, no...I don't imagine that would be too good Shock It called Monistat Soothing Care in Canada...It's a powder-gel skin protectant that's has a very similar ingredient list to Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. Maybe someone knows what it is called in the US? It feels the exact same on the skin and really does an excellent job filling larger pores. My makeup goes on super too!!

Monistat, the drug is used for yeast, but they came out with a really cool silicone based gel, it's called soothing care, main ingredient is Dimethicone. I've read it's super as a base for applying mineral makeup onto.

And for those large gals whose thighs rub together and doesn't want to wear nylons, this would be a good thing for them. I'm one of those large gals, but I always wear pants.

Here's a link Soothing gel not to be confused with the yeast ointment

tiffanyw16, I think your thanks go to Avalange, who started this thread about Monistat as a makeup primer.

People are funny about using products intended for other uses. I like the Monistat as a primer (learned it here, too), but I told my daughter-in-law about it, and she acted as if I'd said something embarrassing. I thought it was quite inventive Smile

That's so funny! I plan on telling my 60 year old mother tommorrow...we'll see how that goes Laughing Can't beat the savings and it works way better for me...I can actually see the pores disappear when I put it on!
