I have always had problems shaving and usually get razor burn when I do unless the hair has grown for a week a or so, but if I try to shave every other or every two days I get bad razor burn. I have black thick hair and unfortunately when I shave it grows back the next day . I always exfoliate my legs before shaving and use the venus razor. Do anyone have suggestions as to what I can do to help out? I plan on getting laser hair removal eventually, but for now it is a pain. |

I have seen this and always wondered how well it would work. Did you get razor burn as bad as I did? I will certainly give it a try now. |

Are you using a sharp enough blade? Cheap or dull razors tend to lead to razor burn. What kind of shaving cream do you use? I've found that the gel-mousse things you get at the drug store tend to be irritating (a lot of them have alcohol in them). Kiss My Face and Alba make awesome shaving creams that are like lotions. I've found that I get the closest shaves with these, but without any dryness, irritation or razor burn. But again, gotta make sure your razor is good.
If you want to shave less frequently, maybe you can try an epilator? Over time, it will also reduce the amount of leg hair you have. |

I use the venus razor bought at the drugstore. I shave with nature's gate shave gel, but still get some extent of irritation. Epilator's seem painful, do you use one? |
