Fenchem the chemical company are about to release a new product, which contains Vitamin C, amino acid, saponin, alkaloid, essential oils and other ingredients.
The product is supposed to increase blood flow to the scalp to reverse hair loss.
Has anyone heard about this product?

Wouldn't a head massage do the same thing?
Acupuncture in the scalp would also do that. I've had it before and it gives you a GLOW. So it definitely gets the circulation boosting up there.
Ultimately, I think hair comes down to genes and follicles. |

I have to agree with you - but they might find a miracle product - who knows.

They look like good ingredients, although I'm slightly skeptical of these things, simply because I think there are so many different reasons hair loss begins to show up, but I like the idea of providing nutrients to the hair as thats bound to have an effect.
Its similar to someone who was talking a little while ago about yoga being great for the hair because of the poses that are upside down. No argument there, those upside down poses do encourage the circulation without doubt, but will it work for everyone, I'm not so sure.
I think a lot of people were talking a little while ago about a horse shampoo having an effect.
I live in hope of a miracle cure, but I can't help but treat it with a pinch of salt. |

One of the most beneficial things i did for my hair was vigorous massage. I think this, combined with good supplements gets nutrients to the follicle in a good way.
Their is also a formula known as 'zix' which slowed down shedding in my case. |

I haven't heard it before but for me, Lush shampoo bar called 'New' is good. It really improves my hair loss problem although the smell is not nice. Remeber to use conditioner after that. |

I remember when minoxidil came out -- Upjohn did a ton of testing ahead of time and it was well-reported in the press. Hair loss is such a widespread concern (and, dare I say, it's more of a male issue unlike some of our silly cosmetic dilemmas) that any promising treatment would get proper treatment in the news, not just a press release issued by the manufacturer. |

I like that it is all natural, I'd try it if it isn't too expensive. |

First you need to figure out what is causing hair loss. Thyoid, hormones, nutrition, stress. Sometimes that alone will solve the problem.
I've used minoxidil for over ten years. My hair fell out during extreme stress at work and my hairdresser recommended it. It takes four months of 2% to work (5% is for men). How it works is it stops your hair from going through a normal dormancy period. I've recently started putting it on my eyebrows which have become sparse. A lot of the newer hair loss products, if you read the fine print, have minoxidil in them and they charge you more because of all the filler products. Wait till RiteAid or CVS has a sale and stock up. You use one bottle per month. I wish more men would use this stuff because I don't like bald men.
I've been wanting to take amino acids, too, because they are good for hair and overall health but have never gotten around to it. |

I was having a problem with hair loss a while back and the derm told me that 5% was fine. I used it for a while, no problems. |

When my new high frequency device arrives I'm definitely going to try out the comb attachment to see whether it makes any difference to my scalp and hair. |

I think 5% isn't recommended if you could get pregnant. I tried the 5% once a long time ago and it seemed to make my hair greasy so I'm not sure what is in it. My scalp is less oily now so maybe I should try it again. I put expensive highlights in my hair and I'm almost afraid to use something stronger for fear it will fade the color. |

I just did alittle "research" (googled) on this product and I do NOT recommend anyone try it, it seems too many people are having problems with the company, But... there IS some very interesting information on this product and other treatments for thinning hair. (truth in aging website)
I am so... sorry I even mentioned this product without looking further into it. I hope no one was taken in by their "free trial". Again, so sorry I was not able to contribute in a "positive" way |

A couple of months ago I started taking Solgar's Hair Skin and Nails formula, and I've now got lots of sprouty, sticky-out new growth of hair - it looks ridiculous at the moment, but it's going to be so great once it grows out a bit. I've also noticed less shedding when I wash my hair. So I really recommend this product.
Also just want to say that I LOVE this forum - I've been an avid lurker for a few years now and am determined to start posting more! |
