Maheen,
I still think your results are phenomenal for only 5 weeks! Imagine what your skin will be like at the end of this.

I know you can't use retin a or hydroquinine during pregnancy -- or while trying to get pregnant. I suggest you talk to your doctor about any topicals you might want to use. I understand how you feel; you work so hard to get your skin in its best possible shape and you don't want to go backwards.

One of my best defenses against sun spots is the daily use of a physical sunscreen. I use NIA 24.
I also think peels, microdermabrasions, and even IPL treatments will help keep your skin smooth and even-toned.

I've never used the TimePeel, but I know Keliu has had great success with it. If it's something that works for you, I definitely think the price is justifiable.

Keep up the good work, enjoy your baby, and keep us posted! Smile

So question, when one goes on maintenance, do you stop the full regimen completely for a certain number of days and then start on the maintenance or do you just taper off to the maintenance schedule? Does the redness and peeling then disappear while on the maintenance?

TIA!

No, you just go on to maintenance. You don't have to stop for a certain number of days.

The redness should definitely slow down on maintenance. However, the peeling depends. The maintenance used to be Blender/RA 2 times a week. However, there are some people that when they reduce the RA that much, and only use it twice a week, they end up peeling More than someone who uses the RA more frequently. So, again, maintenance is about playing to see what you can get away with!

Kims, do you think the JI magic mitt will work for exfoliation? It is a microfiber cloth too. I want to have the option of buying it locally if I can because if I went with NCN I might end up paying duties.

I'm sure it'll work just fine, Moosej. I have a Clarisonic and it worked really well in getting rid of the "peelies."

Hi Russian, I copied this from the site:

Quote:
Notes:

1. Apply Clear first, wait a few minutes, and then apply Exfoderm or Exfoderm Forte. During maintenance, Obagi Medical recommends that Clear should only be used 2-3 times per week (either am or pm).

2. Our new recommendation for Blender and Tretinoin is to use them nightly to avoid the flaking that may occur with more infrequent use. The Blender and the Tretinoin are MIXED TOGETHER and applied. When measuring the Blender and Tretinoin, the recommended 1/2 gram of each product can be measured by using the lines of "OBAGI" on the front of the products. The distance between O-B-A is exactly 1/2 gram. Or, the distance from the tip of your pinky finger to the first joint also equals approximately 1/2 gram.

3. Sunfader contains hydroquinoine (lightening cream). If you did not have symptoms of hyperpigmentation before starting the Obagi program, you may discontinue the use of the Sunfader at this time. For those customers who have hyperpigmentation, continue using Sunfader on a daily basis as needed.

4. The recommended Obagi Healthy Skin Protection SPF 35 should be used every day to protect your skin from the sun's harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Everyone's skin is different, and by experimenting, you can choose the program that is most comfortable for you.
