Uh, this is embarassing, but I have clogged pores on my breasts. I wash, really I do! Does anything get rid of them?

Hey, it happens to the best of us, esp. in this hot, humid weather. Actually, I've been using these toner pads from Peter Thomas Roth on my face every morning--- they are called Gentle Correction Pads (tho there is a slightly stronger version called Max Correction Pads that I think would be good too) and they contain salicylic acid, glycolic acid, witch hazel, aloe, green tea, etc. Anyway, the pads are big and thick, so after I use one on my face in the morning I use it on my chest and cleavage too and I haven't had any clogged pores since, so this stuff might be helpful to you too! |

Try using a body scrub or a mesh sponge with your body wash for exfoliation. |

I would be sure to cleanse twice daily. I wash in the shower and then I also later that day wipe the area (and back) with Clearasil pads. But I am sure any type of cleansing pad would work.
I also suggest a leave on BHA treatment. |

Tooinvolved--do you wear sunscreen around that area? that happened to me a few weeks ago, though it was more on chest area. i wasn't cleaning properly there so now i use a cleansing oil and then follow up with a regular cleanser on that area and haven't had a problem. |

Use shower gloves. They look like gloves (fingers and all) but they are made with a loofah like exfoliating material and they work! I use them everytime I shower (with shower gel) and no body acne whatsoever. I also use a brush on my back. They are cheap and easy to use. They sell them at drugstores and places like Target. |

Hi, I second the rec from Anna in Sweden. Another place you can get those gloves (or at least you used to) is from The Body Shop. |

Try looking for Keratosis Pilaris. What happens is that the oil in the pores, instead of exfoliating away easily, hardens around the hair follicle and forms a plug.
It's supposed to be rare on the breasts, but I wonder if it's because us sufferers keep it hidden because of embarrassment.
I've had it since I was a teenager (and am now in my 40s) and couldn't work out what I was doing to keep the problem going... |

I had some too and used my Clarisonic with the body attachment on it. I used facial cleanser, not the body polish. They were gone in a week! |

I also go over my decolletage with my Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha/Beta peel pads after I do my face and hands. The salicylic acid will unplug your pores. |

What ever you would use on your face can be used there too. I use stridex pads on my body in the warmer months. It works well. |

I agree with all the suggestions to exfoliate with a BHA product. I like St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Scrub. Also, be sure to wear a tight, uplifting bra to prevent the pores from being further stretched and open to clogs. |

I get this problem every summer, but the last and now is not happening. I use Clarisonic body brush in the shower, I use AHA 12% Lac-Hydrin and once in awhile I use my at-home microdermabrasion machine. Dermawand will help also. |
