Hi,
I'd like to make a basic vitamin c serum. I have cosmetic grade l -ascorbic acid powder, and wonder if can add it to a moisture spray I already use, and if so, how much so that the PH will be OK?
The mpositure spray is NAPCA, elastin, collagen, and sodium hyaluronate in a pure iodized water base.
TIA! |

It should be OK, but I would check the ph with ph strips, also how much of the NAPCA spray are you adding your LAA into, and what's the final percentage you are trying to achieve? |

Thank you for your quick reply. I was shooting for a 10-15% solution, and figured I'd be making 3-4 ounces at a shot. But I'm open to suggestions.
thanks again! |

laurahead,
Hi again! Are you planning on using just on your face or other areas? 3-4 oz. would oxidize very quickly if you are only using this for your face! |

LOL. laura we all start as newbies and most hate the math issue!
I make no more that 2 oz. at a time and use it on other areas since it's so cheap to make!
Here is a thread with the calculations on figuring out percentages and a link to an online calculator. There are others online which I will dig the link up and post for you, they are handy to bookmark if you are going to DIY.

Just glad to help if I can.
I am assuming you are American? It's really so much easier to work with metric, ml.'s ect. once we wrap our heads around that instead of our crazy measuring system!
Here is the thread that had a few different calculator links listed.
