Is it okay to do a 12.5% TCA peel over still healing/active pimples? I don't have many (maybe 4) I've already done one peel without problems. |

Over at the Makeupartistschoice website there's some before and after photos of people who have used TCA peels. Some of the before pictures show people with very bad acne - so presumably they have applied the TCA to irritated skin.
Have a look here:

However, my personal instinct would be not to use a peel over broken skin - but I'm not an expert. I would email makeupartistschoice and ask for some advise. |

I've actually been spot treating with a 12.5% TCA from http://www.makeupartistschoice.com with GREAT success.
The pimples last just a few days. My hormones seem to be driving breakouts in the last year. And these pimples were taking FOREVER to clear up.
I have the sample size bottle, and use a q-tip on the breakout. Works pretty good! |

Claudia - do you have the MUAC instructions for the TCA Peel? I've lost mine. I know you've got to neutralise it with Bicarbonate Soda. Would it be possible for you to give me a quick re-cap of the instructions. TIA. |

I do it, and it seems to help clear up the outbreak.
It's a straightforward procedure... apply TCA, wait 8 minutes or so, and rinse off with cool water. Some sites recommend a baking soda/water rinse to neutralize, but I have read in numerous places that TCA self neutralizes, so I have never used anything but water to remove it. |
