I think this is a cool headwear which you can wear multiways but best of all it has added uv protection. Do you think it works? |

I have it. I bought it to cover my face during spring skiing and it didn't work that great... I still tanned a bit. |

This was popular years ago when the show Survivor first came on. I bought one, but never really tried it for sun protection, just used mine as a ponytail holder! |

A friend came back from the US last year and brought one back for me. I have a tendency just to use it like I would a normal bandana when I'm gardening or mowing the lawn to keep my hair out of my face.
I also use it when I ski during the winter, as I find my beanie can be a little scratchy on my head and this also helps to keep it in place and also keep my head warm. |

Ohh ic. Thanks. Guess I won't be getting it since I want to use it as an added sun protection. |

Yea it does look cool since it can be used many ways. Too bad it doesn't really provide the sun protection. |

I bought one, too, but never used it. It just sits there in my closet. |

I don't get it - there's no brim. How's it going to keep the sun off your face? |

I used it as a "half ski mask". I now have another one that doesn't look as cool but really does protect me from UV rays. Actually, an EDS user suggested it to me |

But if it's got no brim, how would it protect from the sun - I wouldn't want to walk around looking like a bandit! |

Oh yeah... the only way of it being "sun protective" is if you put it on as a mask or something... that's why most people use it either for skiing or riding a motorcycle or something like that... I think taking a stroll with it during the summer would look definitely strange! |

I have a parasol too, my sister got one for me for my birthday but I haven't used it yet. At first I thought it was a joke gift, making fun of my sun obsession but now I like it and I think I'll use it in the summer.
It's super girly looking, it looks something like this:

I think a parasol should be kind of frilly so that nobody mistakes it for an umbrella. I'd rather commit and go all out- and not look like I just grabbed my umbrella.
