Does anyone use Pure Luxe Eraser? If yes, what do you think of it? |

I use the creme eraser...I ordered the sample first, then ordered the bigger $30.00 size. Frankly, the jury is still out on this one. I'm not sure if I should be using it under or over my PL mineral foundation. I hate the look of too many layers of makeup, and I think this may contribute to this. I've only been using this about 2 weeks, so I may change my mind with more use. Chrissie |

Chrissie,
You wrote "I hate the look of too many layers of makeup, and I think this may contribute to this."
Can you see it on your skin? |

I use both the cream eraser and the powder eraser ... both are great ... both are very different.
If you want to minimize fine lines ... use the cream eraser under foundation. If you want to minimize pores ... use the cream eraser sparingly as a last step ... dabbing over the area. There's no need to "spread" it ... it just requires a light hand and a dabbing application. The cream eraser dries to a fine white powder that should be imperceptable.
The powder eraser works differently. It "obscures" lines ... creating a "blurred" effect. The powder eraser is also great to hide and deflect from blemishes ... and it seems to help heal them as well.
I always use the powder eraser as a first step, under foundation, to blur fine lines, and to cover uneven spots. I use the cream eraser to minimize pores and as a fabulous eye primer.
I use April's Mix as a great finisher ... which lends a very soft quality to the "look" ... almost lending the whole thing an "airbrushed" look.
As with most Pure Luxe products, a very very little bit goes a long way.

I use the cream eraser in pink on the dark circles under my eyes. I really like it for that...works better than the yellow tone. Then I put on a little cream foundation (both Luxe) over it. Use a soft brush to do it. The combo is great--much better than my Bobbi Brown concealer/eraser duo, which was too thick and settled into my fine lines. |

What do you mean, imperceptable? |

Hi Chrissie,
Imperceptible means that it blends in so well that you don't notice it.

I still use the original line eraser, either under or over my undereye concealer...helps keep it from creasing. |

I used Pure Luxe eraser for quite some time and really liked it, but have moved on to the recently introduced Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch. Very similar texture and results, but I think I like Clarins more because sometimes I had trouble with the eraser balling up on me, especially under my eyes. Clarins isn't doing that so far.

I find that the eraser balls up on me sometimes too (under the eyes). I think it's when I have an oil based moisturizer on, under my eyes. Then the eraser will not stay on right. If I have an oil free moisturizer on, it seems to work fine. |

Hi ...new here ....Was reading (here) about Pure Lux Eraser...so..I ordered a trial size. It is ridiculous! Tiny container (that I knew), and $3.50 S and H! Crazy...But , the part I'm really unhappy about (kind ofr concened, actually) is the Product. It is just an oil, with a few specks of grainy stuff..
Has anyone gotten this, too? Please , I'm wondering if it is a mistake of some kind?? Thank you! |

I ordered samples way back (2005 or 2006) when I trying all sorts of foundations looking for the "one".
I did get both erasers and did not find that it made that much of a difference for me.
Pure Luxe foundation is rather light coverage and it is recommended to apply with a fluffy brush.
I liked her Nymph (peachy pink) blush but did not order a full size. The shipping to Canada is rather high. Very pretty eye shadow colours but they crease on me.
The April's Mix finishing powder is worth a try if you are placing an order.
I tried some things once and did not do a second order.
BTW I do have the Clarins smooth touch eraser and it works great when I remember to use it! |

I've tried both versions. Its not bad. However for creme version, it tends to ball up when i buff more on my foundation for more coverage.
Actually Im not sure why it balls up since sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. But it is quite a good product to cover lines and slight pores. |

It was years ago when I tried samples. I WOULD remember if it was just oil. I remember it in a small jar and it felt siliconey.
I would email the owner. |
