I received the Lightstim the first week of December 2010 and have been faithful using it daily. I use it on my face and neck area (not thyroid area) and have noticed some refining of my complexion. I find it very soothing to use, but it does take me close to an hour, which isn't a big deal since I usually watch television.
I did some research and found the LED that Louisa sells on her website (Hollywood Beauty Secrets) and ordered it. She sells it at a significant discount, so it's under $300 ($289) and free shipping. It ships directly from the manufacturer and I received it in 3 days.
So at this point, I've given myself 4 treatments and I cannot believe the difference. My pores are almost non-existent and the color is very even. I even used one of the panels on my neck where I get those dreaded sleep v-lines and this morning they were gone.
I don't why I'm seeing such a significant difference using this device over the LightStim but I do notice that there are many more infrareds than reds, whereas the LightStim seems to have more reds than infrareds.
I'm curious to see if anyone else has this same device and what your experience has been.
I plan on using both just in case there are specific benefits of reds and infrareds. |

Never heard of this product. The name Hollywood Beauty Secrets is not familiar.
I hope you will continue to post results - pictures would be good for comparison too thanks for sharing. I am sure there are a lot of competitors out there for a piece of the LED Pie. |

I think Makeup Artist's Choice may sell the same panel LED. I'm not 100% sure though.
I have a lightstim and its been amazing for my pores. It does get time consuming though.
Please do keep us posted. |

GirlieGirl,
You're absolutely right! MUAC is selling the exact same unit for $349.00.
I really love that I can treat my entire face in 17 minutes versus 45-60 minutes. I definitely won't be packing it with me when I travel, so the LightStim will come in handy for that. |

I've bookmarked the site you listed for future reference. It is a good deal if I decide to get a panel in the future. |

Ladies, I have to rave again on Louisa from Hollywood Beauty Secrets.....I just received a personal phone call from her in response to a very enthusiastic email I sent her asking why I'm seeing such fast results.
I was actually on the right track in regards to the infrareds & reds. The LED device she sells has 154 Infrareds and 20 reds. Infrareds penetrate deeper into the skin to promote collagen stimulation and many LED devices actually have more reds than infrareds, so you don't experience the significant results/improvements.
I mentioned this forum and she graciously offered to email an ebook to anyone who contacts her and references my name (Jennifer Jones).
I don't know if I can post a link to her website, but if you google Hollywood Beauty Secrets, you'll be able to access her site.
I love this LED Device!! |

You would probably recognize this device if it was called the DPL Light Therapy System. It isn't new; it has been discussed many times on this forum. |

I LOVE it!! It really is an amazing device. My skin looks so smooth and feels "plump" if you know what I mean..I found this treatment really helps to enhance the facial exercise program that I do (Carolyn's Facial Fitness). I had sclerotherapy yesterday and the two nurses couldn't get over the condition of my skin, but I know that's a combination of things and the DPL panel is a big part of my aging-well approach.
I highly recommend this unit and I think you'll be pleased as several people have emailed me to say how happy they are with their purchase. |

I've gone and ordered the DPL! Yes, I desperately needed a third LED device - not!!!!!
I really love my Lightstim but I've always been tempted by the short full face treatment of the DPL. Will report back after I've used it. |

I really hope you love your DPL panel as much as I do mine! When I use it on my face, I have the panels resting lightly on my face while I'm laying in bed and let it go for the full cycle...which is 17 minutes. I do this treatment in the evenings at least 4 nights a week..after using I have little dots where the bulbs are resting directly on my skin and it takes a short time to go away so since I'm going to sleep right after, no worries.
My skin is firm, even-toned, and plump. For me, the 1-2 combination of facial exercises & DPL are the mainstay of my ultimate aging arsenal. |

I chose to order the DPL unit. I did not order from Louisa. I took advantage of the Aspen Leaf Spas black Friday sale. i got 25 percent off so my unit was $261. It included free shipping. Unfortunately, the units are out of stock.
I did contact LEDMan and he has great service. But in the end, I trusted Louisa's judgement.
I am looking forward to receiving my unit.
Can anyone post pictures? i would be interested in them. |

Ok. I've got it finally! My early birthday present to myself )
I used it twice already. This morning i've got strange swelling on my face, but it disappeared after shower.
I think i better skip today's treatment. Just in case.
Off topic, i also have got Louisa's Ultimate Age-Proofing Complex and i like it a lot. This is exactly what i needed under my sunscreen for winter.
JenJ, can you please tell me if you are using it with some of Louisa's recommended products?
She recommends to use her NIGHT PERFECT SERUM with DPL.
Or you are using it on clean face?
Thanks |

Hi YB,
I wonder if the swelling is related to the increased blow flow? Maybe just limit your exposure to 7-9 minutes, then work up to the longer time.
I have Louisa's EGF complex, but haven't used it consistently enough to comment on it.
The skincare line I use is Isomers. About an hour or so before I use the LED panel, I wash my face, then apply the Isomers Stem Genesis serum, then mix a small amount of my bio-identical Bi-Est cream with my bio-identical natural progesterone cream.
I purchased organic green tea extract from Lotioncrafters after reading the post regarding the benefits of using green tea with LEDs. I added some of this extract into my Isomers Matrixyl Advanced Serum (along with the Copper P serum) and let that absorb for 20 minutes or so, then I use my panels.
Happy early Birthday! |

Good idea. Thanks. I'll try that. I shouldn't start so aggressive - full time and with serum. |

Just had a look at that site! I would love one of these, would save some time!! I also had a look at her other products, there was lots of interesting stuff. Has anyone used any of the skincare products? Would love to hear some feedback if you have.
Did you order from here Keliu? Was postage $65? |

I've got there NIGHT PERFECT SERUM and i am not going to reorder it. Don't care what it does. It is just sitting on top of my skin and it is sticky.
I also have Ultimate Age-Proofing Complex - love it; and ULTIMATE EYE CREAM - not sure yet what i think about it. I was looking for a new eye cream to improve my under eye skin condition. Too early to see if it does what it promised. All i can say so far, it is pleasant to use with or without makeup. |

Yes, this is the cheapest place to order from. The device is US$289.00 compared to US$349.00 everywhere else. Shipping is a bit exxy, but it's a large box.
Still haven't received mine yet. |

Not sure if this is the exact same device but it's $279.20 on makemeheal.com right now. I think there might be free shipping over $75 within the US too. Might be worth a check! |

It is the same device - shipping to Australia is US$75.00 (like me, Bermie's in Australia too), so the cost works out about the same as purchasing from Hollywood Beauty Secrets.
Good deal if you live in the US though! |

I never have any idea if anything is actually doing anything either - I just live in hope!
The device arrived today so I'll try it tonight and let you know what it's like compared to the Lightstim. |

Just done my first treatment. I didn't use the stand, I just lay back and held the two panels in a V shape over my face for the full 17 minutes. The device gets pleasantly warm and my face was quite flushed afterwards. My one complaint is that the panels are uncomfortable to hold because there are no proper handles. I'm thinking now that I should have placed the panels into the bracket that sits on the stand - I'll try that tomorrow night.
It's certainly very nice to get the whole LED treatment over in one hit and one panel will be perfect for treating the chest. Whether my Lightstim will be relegated to the cupboard along with the Baby Q only time will tell. |
