Its my first day using the Obagi nu-derm system. I was using the healthy skin protection spf 35 and got some balling up of it when I rubbed it in after using the exfoderm forte. It leaves a kind of white pencil eraser look, where the white flake off.
I was wondering if this usually happens? I waited a few minutes between applications of each product. |

I didn't have this problem while doing Nuderm. That being said, once I finished the Sunscreen that came with the kit, I replaced it with NIA 24 sun block.
Try patting the sunscreen on and see if you get less "balling." |

Argh! I have this problem too besides it leaving my face white....not a big fan of the Obagi sunscreen, in fact, I hate it it. I've been on Obagi since Valentines day and I can't wait for the day I don't have to use it.
I wish I could swap it out for a different sunscreen to be honest... |

Thanks kims, I will try patting it on in the morning and see how I get on. I may wait a little while after I applied the exfoderm forte to put the sunscreen on. |

I didn't have this problem with the Obagi sunscreen either, but like Kims when I finished the bottle, I switched to anther sunscreen. You can use any SPF30 physical sunscreen with Obagi.
Are you rubbing the Exfoderm in all the way? How does your face feel after the Exfoderm is on it, before you apply the sunscreen? |

My skin feels smooth after the exfoderm forte is applied. It feels like theres a thin layer on my skin. If I keep rubbing the exfoderm forte in it starts to flake off slightly.
I may try switching to another sunscreen if I keep getting this. |

I too had that problem, and I was thinking that it was balling up because each step needed more time to absorb. I seemed to have better luck when I could wait longer between steps, but if you're on a tight schedule in the morning, it's not always possible. |

I actually decided to switch out and order new sunscreen last night online...I'm trying Elta MD Spf 41. Apparently this doesn't leave a whittish cast to your face and people seem to like it...hope it works well |

I do not have this problem, because my routine is very simple.
AM
1. Obagi Gentle Foaming Gel, 1#
2.Obagi Toner 2#
3.Obagi Clear3#
4.sunscreen SPF35
PM.
1.Obagi Gentle Foaming Gel,
2. toner
3. Clear
4. Mix Blender #5 with Retin A/Tretinoin
So I think it may be the problem of the exfoderm forte.
you try to wait a few minutes (5 or more) after applying the exfoderm forte, and try to gently dab instead of massage |

I don't use the Exfoderm because of an allergic reaction to it and still have this problem with the sunscreen even after waiting a time for the clear to settle in....it peels up in to little pieces as I'm putting it on and leaves my face white.
I don't think it's anything I'm doing wrong really, I just think the Obagi sunscreen is not right for me... |
