Its been 3 weeks since using GHK and taking high amounts of MSM + Vitamin C. I also used dermaroller weekly. So i dont know what is working but my eyes are firmer and tighter. I can truly see a difference.

great to hear tasha!! Dancing

My eyes were very noticable for me in the beginning too (they also might've been in the worst condition overall)

I also take MSM & Vit C - 1000mg of each. My Vit C is sustained release (so I don't get an upset tummy from that) and I worked up to the MSM by starting out at 500mg/ day and then 500mg 2X/day (divided) before using the 1000mg.

Perhaps dividing your doseage would work for you Bermie

tasha - your 18g (or even 7g) of MSM is quite a large dose. Dr Pickart has always said to take 1000mg of each vit C and MSM, which is the same as 1 gram each

Dr. Pickart wrote:
9. Daily supplements of 1 gram Vitamin C and 1 gram MSM also help rebuild skin proteins. 1 gram of Flaxseed Oil Borage Oil or Primrose Oil, which contains high levels of gamma linolenic acid, helps some people with chronic dermatitis.

foxe-

thanks!
One of those who inspired me to try it. Are you using any retinol?? I'm currently off and on with rose hip oil. I heard squalane is great so i'm not sure.
I'm taking high amount b/c of it helps of reducing my dark circles/hyperpigmentation.
i use the AALS with pure aloe vera gel 3 times a week and also dermaroll.

tasha - I recently went back to using Retin A (not a retinol). I have issues w/ oily skin and clogged pores, so I am trying it again.

I have never tried Rose Hip oil. I always heard it was for dry skin and w/ my oily skin I veered away.

I have dermarollers, but really don't like doing it (so it doesn't get brought out much)

Are you sure it's safe to take such high doses of MSM? Wow, that sounds like a lot. Glad to hear you're having success with your eyes. They seem to be your main area of focus.

Hi foxe, I know what you mean about the dermarollers. I did an intense roll one time and there was blood streaming down my face. It just seemed so barbaric. I couldn't believe I was doing it. Needless to say, I haven't done it again. Although, I really do believe it produces results.

I thought I would share what I found out from Nanci/NCN today regarding the MSM. It has an effect like aspirin (blood thinner). So, if anyone has any issues where they should not be using a blood thinner, you may want to stay away from the MSM.

Yes, i read you can take up to 20mg which i did once and never again..now im average between 5-7g daily WITH my Alma Indian gooseberry which is HIGHEST form of vitamin C. Both in Powder form.
The brands I have is MSM - Jarrow Formula and Pure Planet Amla C-Plus in orange juice. I take the Amla C-plus w/ orange juice at night too!

I also massage my face once a day with rose hip oil..

I use the .5 dermaroller on my face and apply aloe vera gel right after. When i first did it, I was scared b/c i was bleeding and my face was dry, patchy, dark in some areas, flakey, etc. But thank God for "Aloe Vera Gel" made a huge difference!! ..You just have to think "Ok, this is going to look bad, but i am going to look fabolous later" lol hehe Smile

I have taken up to 8,000 mg per day and that is really pushing the limit of known safety. I would not be taking any more than that under any circumstances. You want to be taking "OptiMSM". It is just a standard of the manufacturing quality. I buy mine from Vitacost.com under their own brand name NSI. A bottle of 240 at 1000mg each is $10.99 which is a really good price especially for the quality.

How often do you use your 0.5 dermaroller?

I did my first dermaroll last night with the 0.5, I was surprised at how much it hurt!! especially across the cheeks. I was very red afterwards which surprised me!!
