Ingredients:
1 banana, preferably ripe (you can keep ripe bananas in the freezer. Let it thaw before using)
1 tbsp honey
An orange or a lemon
Preparation:
Mix the banana and honey together.
Add a few drops of juice from an orange or a lemon.
Apply to face for 15 minutes before rinsing with a cool washcloth or a steaming warm washcloth. |

Also, banana peel has enzymes that can remove a plantar wart! Just use tape to affix the inside of a banana peel to the wart over night. For my husband, it removed a deep wart on the bottom of his foot in three nights. You can put a sock over it. |

LOL, it sure sounds funny, doesn't it?
As far as I am aware, it is the INSIDE of the banana peel that you wish to use for wart removal (at least that is what has worked for me, personally, and some others I know) but I am not sure about the facial mask itself.
There are actually a few ways to go about it (wart removal); you can either rub a small piece of banana peel up against your wart each night before bed and leave it at that or, if you don't mind going a step further, try taping a small piece of banana peel in place against the wart so the peel remains overnight (I find this works the best). Simply cut a piece of banana peel a little larger than the wart itself and secure it into place with something like duct tape (or medical tape if you don't have duct tape handy) making sure you have the inside of the peel against the wart itself. In the morning, after you remove the banana peel, you may notice that the area you had covered may appear moist/puffy/pale/etc but this is nothing to be alarmed by it just means the peel was/is doing its job. Repeat this procedure until the wart is gone. For most, it works very well.
As for a banana face mask itself, I'm now just as curious as you are about the answer. Usually, I just mash up a banana (not the peel) for making masks but if the skin of the banana may produce better results I am all for trying it out. However, I have a feeling the mask recipe above calls for an actual banana as opposed to the skin of a banana, although I could be wrong. |

I think it would be worth it to try the inside of the peel. Besides the wart removal angle, we used to use the peel on skin problems for our dogs. It had a calming effect, but the wart success also argues for exfoliation benefits. |
