I started reading the Skinbiology thread but didn't get through all 50 pages yet. Lots of good info, I don't know anything about CP's, really.
What is the difference between the NCN CP Accelerator and the CPs offered by Skinbiology? I realize Skinbio's are different strengths. It's the 1st generation CPs vs. 2nd generation that's a bit confusing for me.
Is one brand better for certain skin types or certain aging issues? Has anyone tried both and preferred one brand over the other?
I've been using Isomers CP serum for about 3 months as a pre-LED treatment but don't know what the strength of that is. In any case though, my skin has had some CP exposure for that amount of time. I also have a sample of CP Accelerator that I haven't tried yet.
Thanks! |

Nanci sells Skinbiology CP's. The CP Accelerator is her own creation that can be used alone or on top of the Skinbio CP's. 1st generation is the GHK, the copper peptide with all the studies behind it (the one used in Neova and Neutrogena products, as well as the GHK cream and serum that Skinbiology sells). 2nd generation are Dr. Pickarts creation that is a combo of hydrolized soy protein and copper chloride. |

Oh duh! I forgot that Nanci sold Dr. Pickart's products, as well as her own. Thanks for the explanation. Do you use CPs of any kind? |

I have used them off and on (more off than on!). I have just restarted and am hoping to be more consistent with them. I have seen the CP serum do remarkable things with skin wounds (healing in 2 days), so that keeps me very interested in the CP's (even though I am not convinced a wrinkle is a wound!). |

Well a wrinkle can wound your heart when you see one in the mirror.
I see now my question compares apples to oranges. I thought the CP Accelerator was actually a copper peptide product but now I see it isn't, it merely "compliments use of CPs," although Nanci says you get the benefits from it without using CPs with it, as well. It has some really nice ingredients so at 20% off I think I'll give it a try. Then maybe at some point down the road I'll introduce CPs into my routine.
Still would love to hear some reviews on it, if anyone who's used it sees this thread today. |

I use CP's, have been using them for about 9-10 months I think!
I love them and will never be without them. I wasn't really keen at first, they are not cosmetically 'pretty'. I didn't like the smell! I use SS Cream and Triduction, but I started with P&R which is mild, and worked my way up. I find them very toning and firming. They are a really quite dark green/blue colour and that can be abit disconcerting, but thats the creams. I am not sure about the serums as I haven't used them as I have dry skin.
I really recommend reading the CP thread, there is great reading in there and people are very helpful. |

I've been using CPs a year and a half. A very interesting product for sure! I've gone very slowly & used the basic CP serum for over a year before moving up to the Super CP serum. My face is much tighter and firmer than it was before, it's just amazing. |

I've used CPs for over 3 1/2yrs and I've seen a lot of good things from them. Firming and tightening are a couple of the first things I saw from their use. I also see scars healing better - flatter than they would've without CPs. In trying out different skincare lines the last few years, I've had some bad acne flareups (skin not adjusting to new products ) and with the CPs, those scars are not visible now. In the past, those kind of flareups would've left ice-pic or boxcar types of scars.

riley - while you may not be convinced a wrinkle is a wound and that gives you hesitation about whether they work on wrinkles or not, I can say that the types of wrinkles I use to have were virtually eliminated with CPs.
I remember having very bad-textured skin above my eyelids from years of makeup use and had seen the skin become very loose and almost a 'crinkly' texture. The skin actually pulled along with the sponge brush of my eyeshadow applicator. After a relatively short time (month or so?) I saw a HUGE improvement on those eyelids. And after a few more months - even more improvement! The skin tightened up - enough to show some of the lower lid area (it had been covered up), and smoothed out (no more crepiness), AND stood up to a pinch test - springing back a lot faster than before. Also - the skin no longer pulled along with the makeup sponge when I used that (I found THAT to be amazing!)
I think that crepy skin is 'wrinkly' skin and CPs can improve the texture of that skin immensely. They won't get rid of deep set wrinkles, but can be improved with firming of the skin. OTOH, those deep wrinkles might be able to be treated like a scar if someone was to use something like a roller and CPs together to help the skin rebuild. JMHO |

NEWS: NCNProskincare will no longer be selling Dr. Pickart's products. Per the newsletter I just received:
Once we are sold out of Dr. Pickart's Copper Peptide products, I will not be offering them anymore.
My own NCN formulas are far outselling Copper Peptide products and I want and need to concentrate of my own products instead. I spend a lot of time every day being the customer service representative for Skin Biology's clients and feel that it's only fair to concentrate on my own clients - you!
Once they're gone, they're gone! Of course you can still get them from Skin Biology or one of their resellers. |
