Hi I am new here and I didnt came on here because of what I dont understand with my skin but my situation kinda did force me to come on since I do not know where to ask.
Now my question....
On my right-side of my nose I'm always fustrated with and deppressed about these many fine lines and one noticable fine line that I had since 18 now 22 (I think it is a lot from sleeping which now I sleep on my back as much as possible).
So about 3 nights ago I done the 8% TCA peel from MUAC. I did strongly notice that my skin felt tight and sometime a little ichy but I dont know if the skin got worst with more fine lines which I am fustrated because I dont see any peel or flakes yet?
So my question is, is this supposed to be like this because I know my skin looks shinny and very dry feeling because all I see is more fine lines, but no flakes and peel yet?
The only positive side I see with this peel is that I had a wart on my nose since I was 17 and got worst till 18 and some mistaken as a pimple or some say I have a witch nose, and I am happy that it shrink and dose look like I have a hard time seeing it which I am happy with it so... Just these noticable fine lines that is killing me the most. |

It sounds like it's fine. If you do see any extra lines, it's the drying/tightening of the skin that will peel or flake off. They won't stay.
8% is pretty light and you may not see a big peel. If you do another one, try layering a 2nd coat of the TCA on (there are instructions on MUAC).It's good to start slow and see too little result than to over-do and risk a burn. |

Awww thank you for confirming... We will see how things goes. I know when I touch my skin it dose feel rough though. I did started 8% as suggested by MUAC. Thinking of doing 15% later after this whole flakiness is done. Im so glad that milia or wart that been on the bottom of side of nose almost gone now I wont be called a witch LOL although not bad as it sound to be but people use to make fun of it, though. |

At 22 you should not have fine lines from expressions or ageing or sleeping, are you sure you don't have simple dehydration or undiagnosed dermatitis? Have you consulted a dermatologist before resorting to TCA? If you cannot afford that you might speak with a pharmacist. |

No I am far from affording anything from a dermatologist. I dont know why I have these lines this early because i never out in the sun or ever smoked always take care of myself. I do get depressed time to time about it. Yeah when I smiled those lines dose show more. I think a lot to do with many large porse and from sleeping on my face a lot. That I have I do not know. Try my best to make my skin at where it should be because sadly I know 40 year old with better skin than I do. |

Please show this skin issue to a pharmacist, that service is free and they are trained to identify common skin complaints. Sleeping positions do not usually leave permanent wrinkles until you are in your forties, IMO something is not right. Large pores can also indicate dehydration, but they do not cause lines AFAIK. Do you consistently meet or exceed all your government's recommendations for healthy eating and lifestyle? What skincare products are you using at present? |

I really dont use any product... I know I use to not wash my face... Now I wash my face just water sometime with oil or baking soda which seems make my skin look smoother that it use to be. Sometime my fine line look less deep so maybe there something medically I do not know. I do drink water as much I as and that is the only thing I drink for many months and few years now. |

Maybe your skincare is causing or contributing to the problem? Baking soda is strongly alkaline, it's one of the worst things you can use on your skin because it destroys the acid mantle and saponifies (turns to soap!) the lipids that hold the stratus corneum together. Damaging the skin's protective layer in this way stops your skin from holding water effectively, so it easily dehydrates. This can present as fine lines and large pores.
The Oil Cleansing Method can be excellent but it is important to remove every scrap of the oil afterwards or it can clog the pores.

It is also important to choose the right oil for your skin type; recent research suggests that some skins react negatively to certain unsaturated fatty acids.

If you would like to exfoliate naturally and cheaply, I recommend purchasing some unbleached cotton muslin cloths. In combination with a good moisturiser this may resolve the dehydration and fine lines without needing harsh peels. Certainly you should be moisturising well after a peel so that the dead old skin stays supple and protects the healthy new skin underneath for as long as possible, are you not doing this?
What about your diet other than water, do you meet or exceed all your government's recommendations for healthy eating and lifestyle? Are you eating plenty of oily fish and other unsaturated fats? Are you using a gentle zinc-based sunscreen each day? |

Oh my, I thought I posted my comment yesterday...
I have put moisturising after I finished my peel.. last night I was washing my face notice some flakes appears and I think it will appear again when I take another hot shower.
I dont normally washed my face with oil which I am plan to do this today and will continue and the oil I normally is olive oil and I do notice how my skin looks after washing the oil off with warm water(took time to washed)... as far as my diet I dont eat fish since I hate everything about fish I would refuse to it though I used to take omega 3 supplement and planning to take cod liver oil though I would hate the taste and my diet is rich with a lot of nuts (mostly peanut and sometime cashew) which I eat everyday. The sun screen I dont wear only because I dont normally stand in the sun no more then 5 mins and normally I'm always inside. But I am going to do this when summer comes in.
Thank you so much for helping me ... God blessed |
