2 WEEKS MIRACLE New Skincare line?

When I was out today I saw a article in a magazine (Grazia, UK) for a new skincare line by a company Dermaheal. It is called "2 weeks miracle" and claims to give you in 2 weeks the skin of a 20 year old or at least that is what the magazine said. After a quick search online I found the site and it claims to be "a 100% organic and preservative-free skin care product" which
"Natural plant extracts, fermented organic ingredients, peptides and growth factor mimicking peptide complexes and nano-capsulation technology help correct major problems associated with your skin such as wrinkles, dullness, dryness, and pigmentation. The nano-capsulation technology will enable these ingredients to actually reach the active layer of skin called dermis. The active ingredients have synergistic effect in stimulating skin cell turn over, producing the cellular matrix proteins such as elastin and collagen, improving microcirculation and strengthening small capillaries."

Has anyone heard of this product or actually tried it?

Yikes - I like that it's natural, etc but that would get $$$$$ in a fast hurry.

I doubt an organic product can provide miracle result in two weeks. The review also said there is nothing miracle about the result.

My sister has been using the LA 2 weeks miracle product in the UK and seems completely in love with it! (I think it's the same product)

There is a video on YouTube with some information but most of it has already been posted above.

Hi,

I've just started using this product, I too saw it in UK Grazia magazine ans ordered it immediately! I'm now on 'day 4'. My friend came round yesterday and said my face looked different,prettier somehow (?!) I hadn't mentioned the new skincare so maybe it does work. I can't really tell yet but I'll report back in another 10 days!

Its expensive at £35 per week but if it works it might be worth it.

I wonder if they'll make larger quantities for the body......A 20yr old face on a 40yr old body is NOT a good look!

Could be the "miracle" is from the "polymers"...

According to Dr. Yarosh's book (The New Science of Perfect Skin pg 213) I'll quote;

"It's true some products do produce an immediate smoothing effect - but the secret ingredient here may well be one of a number of simple polymers that acts as a temporary glue on the skin. After applying it to skin the water evaporates, and the abundant but now dry polymer contracts to give an immediate tightening sensation"...

Once the polymer wears off you return to your pre 'miracle' state... Hence, the need to 'always' use this product..

If you also take a look at where the 'peptides' are listed at the very end of the list, chances are they are not in sufficient quantity to do anymore, than enhance the ingredient list.

Very nice post here Kassy_A, you've probably hit the nail right on the head. Quite often these miracle anti wrinkle products use polymers that pull tight as the moisture flashes off. In this case it probably is the copolymers as well as the sodium polyacrylate doing this job. It is a temporary fix at best...a bandaid, and an expensive one at that!

AND!!...who says this is "natural" and "organic"??!! What bush or tree can you find PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil.... Polysorbate 60...all the synthetic silicones...the polymers..... geez, this formula is chock full of synthetic, non-natural ingredients!

Could you give your opinion on the few good peptides at the end of the list.. My guess is that the bare minimum is in there, that would be required, in order to even have them on the *list*.. I'd be interested in your opinion..

Hi Kassy, I am reading the same book right now.

And it seems like that Dr.Yorosh is not big on Peptides all together: "Peptides for skin care don't make scientifc sense. The peptide peice of a protein is not as good at transmitting signals as the whole thing. Peptides are exposed to digestion on the skin surface and barriers to getting in. Once the face of it, protein peptides are unlikely to work"

Well Kassy, first of all, you called it right again. The peptides are all found at the very bottom of the list. Here's another TIP for ingredients labels readers!!: Disodium EDTA is a chelating agent usually used to bind to metals in the water that is used (in common terms, to clean up "hard water"). Very little is ever needed to do the job. Disodium EDTA is usually loaded at about 0.25% or less in the product. All the peptides are listed lower than that! Now that doesn't necessarily mean that they are loaded at levels of 0.25% or less....but it DOES mean that they are down in the 1% or less loading level. This isn't very good for expecting activity.

I am not familiar with all of the peptides here. I know that the acetyl hexapeptide-8 is Argeriline. I also know that the Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3 is Matrixyl. The "oligopeptides" are usually "skin conditioning" peptides that alleviate redness, work against acne, things like that. The Copper Peptides have been a hot topic lately although the jury is still out on their real effectiveness (or not). The only one which I like and use is the Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3, Matrixyl.

Thanks to both Kassy and Notch for helping to debunk this product. It can sometimes be tempting but I have learned to wait and read with this forum. I have been caught with a few products from time to time that have done just what this product has done and then wondered why my skin never really improved.

I doubt an organic product can provide miracle result in two weeks. Also I doubt any product can exert their effect in that short time.

It would have to be a real miracle for me to buy this one. And I will just have to wait until I hear more reviews on this product. Yes!! I finally learned to pass on some new fad!! Very Happy

Hi,

I just wanted to share my first experiences with the 2week Miracle products.

I'm have been using the products for almost a week now and I have to say I'm really really impressed!!! My skin already looks and feels a lot better after 1 week than after a few months on my Creme de la Mer products. My skin glows, pores are less,...It's just the over all appearance...And the eye cream really works wonders! And believe me I have tried about every cream,serum or device, cheap and expensive there is on the market.

The only downside is the price...Now Creme de la Mer is by no means cheap, but this is still a scale up. If these products were about the same price, I would chuck all of my CdlM products in a sec. And I really mean it!!
In my opinion, if they could bring the price down, than I believe that this product range could be bigger than Creme de la Mer.

Now, this is just my honest experience and opinion.

I know how this looks, but I have no connection to the product what so ever. I check this forum myself every time I hear of a product that might interest me. I live in Belgium. Because some people were wondering about the product, I thought I might as well give it a go and express my opinion.
