I used 50% on my face which i know now was a big mistake. Also it scabbed up really bad and I've been extra dumb and have been picking at the scab. I will post a pic do you think i need to go see a doctor or will it heal by itself?
It won't let me upload the pic on here i can email it to someone or give them the link if it will let me. |

Wow...I didn't know you could purchase that high of a percentage.
Have you kept the skin covered with an ointment to keep infection from setting in? There's one the med-spa I used to go to called Bacitrin or Bacitracin..something like that. I would definitely pick this ointment up at your local Walgreens/drugstore and keep your skin covered.
How long ago did you do this peel? |

Blast! I can't upload the image.
I actually expected the peel to look MUCH worse than it is, so I don't think you'll have any issue with healing.
Keep the area covered with the Bacitracin and I wouldn't shave for two weeks since you need to let the skin slough off naturally (no peeling it off or shaving). I would also pick up a good chemical-free sunblock if you don't already have one since the new skin is going to be tender. |

Rule of the thumb would be in any peel that you intend to do "at home" is to test the product on a very small area of the skin to test if your skin can handle the concentration, not directly on the area that you want to treat. If you are a newbie on this type of peel, start with very low concentration first to see if you skin can handle the peel. TCA 50% peel or higher (in my opinion) should be done in a doctor's office specializing in this type of treatment, not at home. |
