Is Epidermal Growth factor bad? I am using a new skincare line called Perfective Ceuticals which Ive heard great things about. I have thus far tried their SPF and love it.. wanted to try their serum and cream next but it has EGF as the main ingredient. I heard its great for anti-aging but when I searched for it on makeupalley I keep reading that it should be avoided... just curious what the reason is?
Anything else I can use instead? I am 30, fair skin and looking to start on an anti-aging routine.
Currently I just cleanse with clay soap and apply an oil blend (carrot seed, sea buckthorn, rose hip, coconut, olive) at night. In the morning I use Devita sunscreen (looking to switch as this new formulation is weird). I was interested in adding serums, creams for anti-aging. |

EGF isnt "bad" but its just one part of a complicated spectrum of factors the skin needs.
If you're concerned about anti-ageing, my best advice is to research Dermal Needling, which stimulates the skin's own factors for remodeling and building the skin in a balanced and scientific way.
Concise Guide to Dermal Needling by Setterfield is the most up to date info IME.
