Hi everyone!
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for extreme eyebrow hair loss. I've been on thyroid medication for years (Nature-throid not the synthetic) and I know that hypothyroidism can be a cause of eyebrow hair loss. But it seems I'm on the right dosage and my eyebrows are still thinning terribly. I've also been on bio-identical hormones for the last 4 years so I think that's okay.
It looks like the follicles are the problem. My eyebrows sometimes itch and might even get a little red but nothing like what I've ready about in terms of seborrheic dermatitis. I've tried to research using anti-fungals, Rogaine, Latisse (tried that once and it just seemed what few hairs I had grew longer!), emu oil, corticosteriods, etc. The hairs I do have often stick out at odd angles because there's no other hair around them to keep them in line. And some of them just literally fall out - like there's nothing holding them in.
I've gotten pretty good at drawing them in but I scare myself when I look in the mirror in the morning!
Any suggestions? THANKS! |

Yup i was in the same boat but not anymore.Dont know about thyroid medication though a thyro-supportive lifestyle should contain iodine and selenium rich foods.
YOU HAVE TO CLEAN THE LYMPHS.Aka your real stomach.
A high carb vegan diet seems to fix this inflammation related itch.
Crap aka bad food, processed oils, chemicals etc...
is getting trapped to your system.
When the enviroment around follicles is clean then blood can go there and feed the follicle.
But when an acid forming lifestyle is being followed then calcified tissue is being formed cause calcium buffers the acids. The hair follicle is being deprived of blood nutrients.
You can also massage in a specific way with castor oil.The massage technique is being called detumescence. It will make things worse in the begining cause massage could make hair fall.
But then you will see a huge difference. |

Thanks for the info panoslydios. I don't think I'll be switching to a high carb vegan diet but the info on massage sounds interesting. I searched and found a little info online for detumescence massage for the head but not specifically for eyebrows. If you have a link I'd love to take a look! |
